I began getting sick last Friday. Basically Friday-Sunday my body was achy and I had a fever. No cough, sore throat, runny nose or vomiting. Monday morning, thinking i would be better, I got in the shower and had to sit down because I thought I was going to pass out and vomit. Went to a PA got a pregnancy test (negative) and a uranalysis. Was told “don’t know what’s wrong with you.” Given cipro just in case.
Went to work Tuesday/Wednesday felt so/so until Wednesday evening when I felt extremely fatigued and dizzy. Woke up Thursday morning went to class. Started feeling very dizzy again, fatigued and couldn’t focus. PA called that uranalysis revealed nothing was wrong but I should come in again and get possilbe blood work. Decided to go to on campus health clinic. Dr. prescribes me meds for inner ear infection. Thinks I had a stomach flu and it went to my head?! I also got blood work with no results yet.
Both the PA & Dr. tried to push on me that I have nausea (I only did on Monday morning) and the stomach flu. Too Much Information but I haven’t thrown up at all and have had solid/normal BMs. The dizziness was at its height last night when I couldn’t even turn my head. I went to bed at 7 and woke up at 9 this morning. I’m still feeling the dizziness.
Anyone else ever had an inner ear infection and felt this way? I don’t have an ear ache and the dr. didn’t say anything about redness or swelling when he checked my ears. I’m just concerned I may be misdiagnosed.
