Just sharing my experience in the hope it will help someone thinking about buying from them!
I purchased an item from them on 10/30. On their website, it stated “For Holiday gifts bought from 28th October onwards, the returns period is extended – Your return needs to reach us by 11th January.”
I figured I didn’t need to hurry and could return the item whenever I wanted as long as it was before January 11.
Apparently I was wrong! When they got my item at the end of November, they told me that I couldn’t get a refund because it was outside their returns window. When I quoted the policy stated ON THEIR WEBSITE, they told me this:
“The extended return period applies to Christmas gifts only and as the item was returned before Christmas itself this does qualify as a Christmas gift. Also this applies to Christmas gifts only and not products you purchased for yourself but products to give during the Christmas holiday.“
(I assume she meant “does NOT” in the first sentence or else this reply has an extra layer of crazy, lol.)
WTF?! It doesn’t say anywhere on their website about waiting until after Christmas to return it! And why is Christmas the only holiday that counts?! And, I’m sorry, but how am I supposed to justify that this was a gift that I purchased for someone? Do I need to send along a photo of them unwrapping it?
I called and got their over-the-phone customer service to issue me a refund, but… what the heck? Is this crazy to anyone else? (Also, their phone customer service was super snarky, so I’m extra pissed, lol.)
