bywater :  I’m surprised you have to ask if that was acceptable. Of course it isn’t acceptable. By the time they reach adulthood, most people know better than to make fun of someone else’s medical condition or to wish harm/illness on people. Shame on those who can’t behave like decent people, but just because someone else acted so distastefully and made fun of a condition or wished illness on someone does not mean it is acceptable. It just means that person has no class and is quite rude.

Besides not being acceptable, including that type of remark undermines the position you have taken in the discussion. I am not going to take you as seriously as I would if you left out the personal attacks.

If you have a valid opinion, make it. You don’t pad your argument by adding “and he’s ugly too”.

Daisy_Mae :  +1

if you hate someone, attack them for who they are. Making fun of a condition that millions of other people have doesn’t hurt that person, it only hurts and makes fun of all of those other people. Someone is not a nazi by associated if also having roseaca (sp?). It’s insulting.

I agree that this is mean to people who have rosacea more than it is it Steve Bannon, but also Steve Bannon is to Hillary Clinton as a Nazi is to someone fighting the Nazis. (No, I’m not saying he’ s a Nazi, it’s a comparison, but if anyone deserves to be compared to a Nazi, it’s Steve Bannon.)

They are not the same, at all, and anyone who thinks so needs to stop reading fake Macedonian Russian paid “news” full of total lies about her.

Steve Bannon is an odious person who holds anti-Semitic, anti-women, anti-Muslim, anti-everything that isn’t white Christian male (as if he’s a Christian). He’s an accused wife beater.

furthermore, I have personal experience being threatened by him, so this is not just about his public persona. In private, he is even worse. Much worse.

He is a dangerous madman.

Its not a surprise at all that he and trump are bros.

to put this in perspective, if Steve Bannon saw this thread, he’d be emailing the people who pointed out his rosacea to tell them he knows where they live. That is what’s wrong with Steve Bannon, not his looks.

Adding that many of the conservatives who are outraged by this were mocking Hillary Clinton when she collapsed from pneumonia and even claiming she had a body double and was too frail and old (a year younger than trump, who is medically obese), so if you find this objectionable, make sure the values are consistent.

I can see why the rosaceae comment is offensive… But honestly I think this post is a bit too much? She admitted it and plenty of bees on the other thread have taken your side. So I think it’s time to let it go.

BalletParker :  I’m not republican by any means but think making fun of someone’s uncontrollable skin condition is not appropriate. I thought it was ridiculous when people were making fun of Hilary. If anything, the fact that she was still campaigning while having pneumonia is extremely impressive! Fatigue associated with that illness is no joke.

As you’ve well explained above, there’s so many other things you could use to comment on someone like bannon. Why stoop to his skin?

BalletParker :  they also didn’t seem to get as offended when Trump mocked a disabled reporter, called women fat pigs, said the word pussy and tried to brush it off as locker room talk, called Mexicans rapists…….. Should I go on??? Lol yeah honestly this is nothing compared to everything Trump has said

namsayin :  right, oh my god, it’s easy to forget there are so many things. Great points. Also agree that this post is a bit much, but hey, I guess OP thinks it’s okay to start a post to pick on the person who said something this OP disagreed with apparently.

chocochai :  I agree. Totally. And great point re Clinton’s stamina!

I also have an issue with the raging hypocrisy. If people are going to be all pearl-clutching about Bannon’s rosacea, all PC if you will, why was it okay for a presidential candidate (a supposed role model), not a forum member,  to mock a disabled reporter. Confusing.

BalletParker :  wasn’t okay when trump did it, not okay to do it about bannon. If you dislike someone, dislike them for reasons that have nothing to do with a medical condition. There is plenty to dislike Bannon for, but his skin is totally irrelevant. Even if you think he’s a nazi, wife beater, worst guy in the world….doesn’t make it okay, funny or acceptable to make fun of someone for something they can’t control.

italianbride0508 :  I think that’s been covered. It’s okay to let it go now. I never said it was okay, but given the crazy defenses of trump attacking women for their appearances and Bannon himself mocking Clinton and Photoshopping Nancy Pelosi into a bikini showing her sucking d*ck on her knees, I’m rolling my eyes at the high horsing.

ETA: there is a huge difference between a forum member mocking a public figure and a presidential candidate calling women the c word and attacking women reporters. He is supposed to be a role model, so the two aren’t equivalent at all.

This post had to have been created just to start controversy right?  It is never acceptable…not ever…

bywater :  NEVER. If the person laughs at his own condition thatcis fine. But is never okay to make fun of anyones medical conditions.
