I don’t mean for this to sound snarky, so please don’t be offended but I do unless I do ab workouts!  Then, when I sit down, everything kind of stays where it was lol.

Okay good!  I didn’t want you to be like..well I DO workout, thank you! lol  It also helps if you practice sucking in while you sit down, it sort of “trains” your stomach to do it on it’s own eventually.  Having your own personal trainer would be awesome! 😉

I have the same problem thanks to extra skin after significant weight loss. No amount of exercising or running will help that issue, it is what is is. I try to compensate by wearing clothing that compliments the imperfection that is my stomach.

This happened to me last year, and I cut dairy out of my diet, and it went away. It actually turned out I have a mild-moderate allergy to dairy! Maybe try that? It could solve your problem 🙂

@misssydneyj: Yogurt is the oddity of the dairy world. Due to it’s cultures it actually reduces the symptoms of lactose intolerance. I can eat yogurt no problem but certain cheeses and milk give me such painful gas.

I started feeing this way around the beginning of the year. I even had to go out and buy pants a size bigger because when I would sit down, they would dig into me. I finally got sick of it so I started c25k. After 5 weeks, my body has started to reform. My butt and legs are tighter and the bloat in my lower stomach has significantly reduced. The bad news is I can no longer wear my new pants without a belt, but I am not complaining!!

@misssydneyj: Yeah I’ve considered those options but I don’t think my issue is drastic enough to go that far, at least not yet. Perhaps after I have kids I might have things tucked and/or lifted. For now I deal with it.

Well, I don’t have a flat stomach by any means, lol, but I do know that I will start to feel “bloated” when I’m slouching too much at my desk. Sitting up tall and that feeling goes away.
