I feel like you can have the best foundation and it’ll look terrible if you don’t prep your skin. I use ladykin affiatic lifting cream first and let it soak in a second. Then either smashbox original photofinish primer or Dr. Brandt’s pores no more primer. Then tarte’s amazonian clay. I love the clay because I’m lazy when I get home and more often than not don’t wash my face before crashing (I typically only wear makeup if I’m doing public speaking in which case I do wash it off or going for a night out in which case I don’t). I’ve never had it give me anything but nice soft skin in the morning. I do set it with a powder as well ussually bare minerals. I had the benefit of my ispy subscription to really try out a lot before committing. I’m 30 in May and this is my unedited/unfiltered face (with my favorite photobomber) with the products I’m recomending::

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD stick! I have combination skin too and this has been the best by far. Doesn’t dry out my skin but also helps with the shine. Easy to apply and easy to get light or full coverage depending on what you’re looking for. I get it at Sephora, so you could always go in and try it before buying.

My favorite duo is the UD naked concealer and the born this way Too Faced foundation. Definitely high coverage though, and a wetter foundation so needs to be set with a powder. Nothing makes my skin look more polished w/o looking overly done up/cakey.

I like Born This Way by Too Faced and I wear the concealer too. A lot of people don’t like it but it has coconut and rose oil in it and it didn’t cause breakouts( in fact since I’ve started using it I get a out of compliments when I’m not wearing make up on how good my skin looks).

It’s a medium you full coverage.

I agree with previous posts that a good foundation starts with good skin. I use a green tea scrub, unscented calming face wash, chamomile face spray, and on dry nights I use a cream. I also try to drink a lot of water.

I’m no help because I use the same Younique that you do! I love how the liquid foundation smells as strange as that sounds haha. I use the primer/foundation/concealer as well but have never used the powder as I already have slightly dry skin. Hope you find something you love!!

I use Maybelline Fit Me Dewy liquid foundation. Since switching to it I get so many compliments on my skin. It fills in lines and gives great coverage. I’m 7 months pregnant so looking a Lil chubby lol and I have a birthmark on my forehead that you can’t even really see imo. This is my daytime makeup so it’s one layer and no powder or concealer used .. I don’t do much to prime my skin, lightly exfoliate every night and use baby lotion on my face haha… Also gives a beautiful dewy look. I have it on right now ::
