I need to write a thank you letter for a scholarship I received. I am not sure what is more proper/professional– a longer typed letter or a handwritten note on a set of professional looking thank you notes we have for things like this and job interviews. Help please!

hmmm… I say typed professional letter with hand signed signature.

I’ve had to write thank-you notes for multiple scholarships, and they all wanted them typed . . . some actually had an online form where we put the note, and it was printed on school letterhead and given an e-signature, then sent on to the donor. If you have really nice handwriting, you could do a handwritten note, but make sure to scan a copy of it for yourself so that you have proof you sent it (my scholarships could be withheld for not sending the letters!)
