Yikes!  I have made some awful things that Darling Husband sweetly eats.  I am getting so much better.  As for curry, I buy “CURRY” spice (ginger, turmeric, cumin, coriander, mustard, salt) with it already mixed in = basic and light.  Good luck!  Hope you are okay.

Oh no!!  (I’m terribly sorry but your post made me laugh – with you, not at you, I hope!) I have SO been there.

My Fiance and I like to try out new recipes. Any time you do that there’s a risk – we have made some NASTY creations. Throw-it-out-and-have-cereal-for-dinner nasty.   Live and learn!!

Aww, I love spicy curry!

If you’ve got leftovers, toss a can of coconut milk in before you call it a loss. That’ll tame it down a bit 🙂

@ddw:

Also, depending on the flavors, add a squeeze of lemon juice. That can help too.

@MM423: You’re not alone 🙂

My roommate and I made what we deemed “Death Chili” once when we bought raw chili powder (as in, ground up chilies) at an import store, mistaking it for American-style chili mix. We dumped tons of that stuff in our ground beef with beans and ketchup and whatever else … I think we drank a whole gallon of milk that night and watered down the 4 servings of leftovers into about 4 dozen meals by adding more beef and beans, hahaha.
