lol at least she saved you the calories.
If I wanted to cram it up my bum & try to toot it out, that was my right, was it not?
**Just gave myself an idea of how to greet her tomorrow!**
@Gingersnap: I’ll actually leave that up yo Hubby since it was his money that was misappropriated, but I’m certainly not above it.
Omg I would lose my shit on her!
And it is NOT too much to ask her to pay for it she opened and dispersed stuff that didn’t belong to her she needs to repay. The audacity to not only open the note read it but to disperse stuff that didn’t belong to her. I am enraged for you, just OMG really
Seriously? It would make me so upset! I’m shocked for you!
I wouldn’t trust her anymore & I don’t have people working for me I can’t trust. I’m usually really forgiving & think most things can be worked out, but there are some things that are a big no-no. I would worry about it happening again. What if she’s been going thru things the entire time she’s been working there? I think you should wait a day or so until you’re not as mad & then talk with her about it. Or go to HR.
At least you have some chocolate to enjoy the rest of your day!
I would be more upset about her reading the card then eating your chocolates. What if your husband had referenced some racy encounter the two of you had or pet names for *ahem* down there….that would be so akward!!
I had to laugh at that, because it’s so incredibly ridiculous!
I do not think you are asking too much by asking her to repay. If it was me (and I chose to not share), I would have probably kept the chocolates to eat a couple everyday, and in fact WOULD have eaten them all by myself.
And reading the note!? That’s just…argh. I’m furious for you!
Is it terrible coworker week.
It absolutely is not too much to ask for to pay for half. She overstepped boundaries, and is not acting appropriately. Yes the note may have said to share with the office, but like you said, you might have decided to share with someone else, or heck, not at all! Maybe you did want to eat youself into a choccie coma?
“it’s not like it’s a big deal”…well it isn’t a BIG deal, but like you said, she obviously feels comfortable enough (and wrongly so) to read things not addressed to her, who knows what else she’s looking at?
I just had another employee come in and tell me how nice it was of me to share my chocolates and how much he enjoyed them! You should’ve seen the look on his face when I told him that I didn’t share them, she did and offered him the rest of the box. Like a deer in headlights.
Wow, I would have flipped out. Who does that?!? I wouldn’t only make her repay you for the chocolates but I would ALSO make her replace them. Hope they were rare and expensive!
The receptionist at my office signed my credit card slip after receiving a delivery for me once. By the time I got there, the delivery guy was gone and she goes “Don’t worry. I signed for you. Was $5 ok for a tip?”. WHAT?!?!?!?!?!
