Walmart, Target, etc have all sorts of inexpensive options with varying degrees of “slimming”

My favorites are the Flexees by Maidenform.

I live in dresses in the summer bc I hate shorts, but not wearing something under them is not an option bc of chub rub and gross men who like to look up skirts.

I like to wear biker shorts under dresses and skirts for modesty reasons. Biker shorts are cheap, comfortable, and come in a variety of colors. The ones I had were longer and cotton, but I also had some shorter more “spandex-y” ones. I like Danskin. I got all of mine from Walmart and Target.

I use Bandalettes for this purpose and I LOVE them. Used to use bike shorts, but half the time they would end up riding up, or they would get too hot and defeat the purpose of wearing a dress. Look into Bandalettes! https://www.bandelettes.com/

I have used Jockey skimmies in the past.

I also love the cheapo light-years cotton biker shorts under skirts and dresses.  Prevents the chafing and worrying about a skirt blowing up in the wind. Plus cheap. I don’t use them for cycling though. All my cycling shorts have a build in chamois.  I wouldn’t wear them under a dress lol.

Another vote for the Jockey Skimmies slipshorts. They have a couple different styles/fabrics. They are, by far, the best thing I’ve worn under dresses and skirts.

You can always use a latex-based lubricant like from passion parties/pure romance. These tend to last all day, and if not you can always reapply.

Ugh, the chub rub struggle is real. I have a pair of spandex shorts that I wear under dresses. I got them from walmart in the shapewear section, but they’re not really slimming, more just smoothing I guess. They look like biker shorts in a nude color. They don’t ride up either, which is nice. I have wondered about bandalettes though, because all those clothes can sort of defeat the purpose of wearing a cool summer dress in the heat.

I bought some bike shorts that I love wearing under dresses. I even wore some under my wedding dress LOL. I got them at winners for like $16.

I do this too! Mainly so I don’t have to worry about my skirt flapping up because I’m not the daintiest of people. I just use cheap cotton bike shorts that you can get at loads of places – old navy, target, hanes etc.

Another vote for Jockey Skimmies! They come in multiple lengths, weights and colours, and they’re a practical alternative to panties under a dress or skirt.

chrissybee :  I discovered the ones from thighsociety. They are pricey but AMAZING. They do not roll up, roll down, make the swishy shooshy sound when you walk…in short, every person with big thighs who is worried about chafing needs these.
