Try The Stanton Social.

They have a nice mix of adventure and comfort type foods – small plates – great for sharing.  And it’s a very chill environment.  Personally, I think the French Onion Soup Dumplings are to die for.  🙂  The Hangar Steak & Tots are great as well as the Kobe Sliders.

Mmmm.

One of my favorite romantic restaurants in the city is Piadina, a rustic hole-in-the-wall kinda place in the West Village.  Their food is yummy but not too out-there, and it’s affordable.  It’s not super-fancy, but the ambience is really great!

there’s a cute, romantic spanish restaurant on west 17th called suenos.  the food is yummy and not too expensive.  they also have/had a $30 prix-fixed menu.  check out their website.
