@Nicoley1985: Oh my goodness. I completely feel your pain! You’ve already read my crazy neighbor story, so I won’t share it again. Haha. And I agree with you about if you live upstairs you should make sure your kids don’t act like a-holes. There’s a 10 year old girl who lives upstairs from me and I’m pretty sure she’s a big part of the problem.

ETA: OH, and the “wanking it” part, what exactly do yall hear? I’m interested now. Haha.

@Nicoley1985: Oh my goodness!! How embarassing for her! I hope our upstairs neighbors can’t hear our “relations.” But, at least with us it’s two people and not just one!

Does a really mean neighbor pet count??

We have good neighbors, except for the cat next door who comes to visit our house all the time, he’ll sit on our front porch and greet us with growls and hisses when we try to enter our own house! Not to mention that he gets in fights with our cats on a regular basis.

We (and half our building) just got ours evicted.

This guy is a total douchecanoe. He stomps at all times when he moves around, rearranges furniture in the middle of the night, constantly slams, drops and bangs things, and basically sounds like a construction site. He also had a lovely girlfriend who he used to fight with every hour of every day. Thankfully they broke up, but now he has friends over all the time and they smoke pot constantly and have conversations at yelling volume. I went up to tell them to keep it down at 5am once and he claimed, “We were whispering.” Uh yeah, about that, if you were whispering, I wouldn’t be able to hear you above my oscillating fan on “High” and the sound of the windstorm raging outside, m’kay? Oh, and when he vacuums the apartment he turns his music up until it shakes the walls.

After knocking on his door six times and writing several letters to the managers (and we weren’t the only ones), we recently found out that he has been given his notice to be out of our building by late December. Best Christmas present ever!

@o0olibelulao0o: There’s a mean cat in my apartment complex. We made the mistake of feeding him once because he was sitting outside our door meowing, and now he goes out there and howls like at least once a day. He hisses at my dog too. The other day I was out walking my dog (who is smaller than the cat, btw) and we were about to walk between some bushes and a car and the cat was just sitting there like “Come at me, bro!” so we just walked around because I didn’t want my dog to get his eyes clawed out. I usually feel bad for stray animals, but that cat is a douche. Haha.

ETA: I kid you not, that damn cat is out there meowing right this second. He knew I was talking about him!!

@Nicoley1985: @CarolinaCola: One of my friends used to share a wall with a couple who had very loud, aggressive sex every morning. Afterwards, they would hear the woman go into the bathroom and throw up.

IDK if she had morning sickness or it was just really, really bad sex, but either way, quite the wake-up call, lol.

@linguo42: Oh my gosh. That is such an odd combination of things to hear every morning.

Our neighbor likes to play music. LOUD music. To the point my mirrors & pictures on the wall shake! My husband & I put up with it for almost a year by going over & saying can you turn the music down, nicely. And he did. But the next day it was right back up again! He played it EVERY DAY! Not one day was skipped. Finally we reported him. The music stopped. This week he started playing it again, in his bedroom. WHERE WE SLEEP right beside his wall! So I called our landlord & told her & she said she will deal with him herself! Last time she called the cops to come up here & tell him to turn it down. But she is trying to make him move out (nicely) because she is the sweetest lil old lady ever. But she has had every neighbor that has EVER lived beside him complain about loud music.

@linguo42:  Oh my!  That would be totally unpleasant to hear!

We used to have neighbors that I hated.  They were a gang of teens and 20-year old guys who’d stand outside and smoke pot (really?  outside??!?!) all day long.  They would gawk at all females who walked by and make rude remarks.  They also owned two horrible, mean, NASTY bull mastiffs who tried to eat my puppy (and my Darling Husband…and ME!) on several occasions!  The guys couldn’t control their dogs, and they’d get away from them when they were taking them out to “do their business.”  The dogs attacked my malamute (who, at the time was a small, terrified, fluffy puppy) several times.  The dogs knocked me down on a sidewalk to go after my dog, bit his leg (we got animal control and our apartment involved at this point), and finally…the kicker.  One day one of the dogs lunged at me and bit into my neck!!!  I had to go to the hospital for stitches.  I was freaking out that it had gotten my jugular because no one would let me see or tell me (just knew I was spewing blood everywhere!).  I was SO happy when the complex kicked that crew out!!  What a nightmare!  And I found out later that the dogs had been reported for attacking at least 2 other people in our apartment!  I think they were severly neglected and probably abused to act so awful.  Ugh.
