Losing weight = burning more calories than consuming.

Therefore, if your cutting back the junk food, you need to increase your exercise to burn off that excess fat. You’re already doing half of the equation, now just do the other half.

Try finding something you enjoy doing. A good excuse to get some exercise is to get a dog. They always need/want to go for a walk.

Have you ever tried matcha? I can’t stand the taste of green tea but I can tolerate matcha- it’s helped me lose some weight.

Matcha is green tea, but one cup of matcha = 15 cups of green tea (and the taste is totally different). Instead of consuming tea leaf essence you’re consuming the actual ground up green tea leaves. If you’ve ever ordered green tea ice cream out- what you’re really getting is matcha ice cream.

There are a ton of health benefits, but it boosts metabolism. I’ve been drinking a cup a day for about a month and it’s making my weight loss go quite a bit faster and giving me more energy for exercise. You can read a little about it here (i order my tea from zenmatcha) The downside is it’s kind of expensive.

I’ve lost quite a bit of weight by cutting down my sugar intake. Not just sweets, but processed food, and carbs. Alot of fat free and boxed food has tons of sugar. It’s not a crazy diet, like atkins, it’s more about eating clean, natural foods and controlling your carbs. You’d be suprised how quick the weight falls off when you eliminate all the excess sugar in your diet. I was shocked when I started reading labels and saw how much sugar is in some of the staple foods I used to rely on all the time. I still eat dessert every now and then, but I cook more of my meals from scratch and rarely eat bread/pasta/rice. It works for me, but it’s not for everyone. My FH does not want any part of it. He’ll eat whatever I make, but I still need to make him some kind of startch to go with it. lol.

If you want the most effective workout in the least amount of time I would look into intervals. Wether its running or stairs in your house or at the gym after 20 minutes you will get a better workout than walking for an hour. (1 minute high intensity,1 minute low intensity)

Especially incorporating body weight exercises. The more muscle you build the higher your natural metabolism will be which means it will be easier to maintain weight!

I would suggest looking at your daily meal schedule and seeing what you consume daily that could be eliminated or substituted with a healthier option. For example, how do you take your coffee? Do you drink sweetened drinks throughout the day? What is your breakfast like? Maybe you can also bring healthier snacks to work to give you something to munch on during the day. Also, eliminating any meals after 7pm can do wonders. Congratulations on loosing all the weight you already have and hang in there. Also, you can add some exercises to you daily routine, which can be done during commercial breaks. This can include crunches, squats, or even arms. As far as cutting out sugar, that seems to be the hardest part for me since I have such a sweet tooth. I try to keep a lot of fruit in the house, which can be a great snack. Also, try freezing some grapes. They taste amazing and can be a great after dinner treat. You have come so far, and only have a little more to go. Summer is coming so it’s time to tighten up! LOL Good luck.
