I think just walking around is pretty fun… if you’ve never been there just exploring the hotels is great.

My favourite show is Cirque de Soleil’s “O”, and we also love the piano bar in the NYNY hotel.

Then there’s old Vegas stand-bys like the Bellagio fountains.

Defiantly go to a Cirque de Soleil show! And i agree with walking around. It so neat to just check out the different hotel lobbies and casinos!

Bellagio fountains outside and the cool garden inside, Volcano show at Mirage, pirate show at Treasure Island, lion habitat at MGM — all free.

Mostly I love walking around the hotels. The Venetian is one of my favorites, it’s so beautiful. There is also Madame Tussaud’s wax museum there if you’re into that. The Paris is a cool hotel to walk through as is Luxor, Excaliber, NY NY, I could go on forever! The Stratosphere has thrill rides at the top if you like that (I personally can’t stomach it!!).

NYNY’s Piano Bar is THE BEST for nightlife, so is grabbing a show… it’s pricey, but I recommend a Cirque du Soilel, any one really, but “Love” is my fav! Or you could check out a comedy club for a more decent price.

If you like nightclubs, I really, really like Moon at the Palms or Tryst at the Wynn. Just keep in mind that the cover charges are intense and the drink prices are even worse.

I’ve been to Vegas more times then I should tell you, so if you want more detailed info or specific places to eat dinner or something, send me a PM…. I think I’ve rambled on enough!! ๐Ÿ™‚

the stratosphere was awesome.  Seeing vegas from the top was cool.  the damn was pretty amazing too.   And to be honest most of the hotel shows were great.  Like PP said just walking around was so much fun.

Depending on the show you can purchase tickets the day of for a discount. It really depends on how set you are on seeing a specific show or how awesome of seats you want… If it’s sold out you’re SOL, but if you have a few shows in mind you might want to see and don’t mind sitting in the back you can usually snag tickets for a good price.

If you’re more particular about what show you want to see / where you want to sit then I would buy tickets ahead of time.

Here’s more info on buying tickets the day of: http://www.tix4tonight.com/

We bought all our tickets when we got there, but we weren’t really particular about what we wanted to see.

If you’re the money-saving type and you do want to see O, we ended up with “obstructed view” seats near the front that were $100 cheaper than the ones beside us.  Apparently you couldn’t see the performer take their first step onto one of the diving boards…

Also, we got a lot of discounts at Halfprice tickets there around the corner from the MGM and next to the M&M store. As soon as we got to our hotel (we couldn’t check in into 3 but they hold your bags in a locked room) we stood in line and got half off tickets to show, buffets, and steak houses. That is the way to go!

If you’re looking for “FREE” stuff to do, be sure to check out the volcano at the Mirage, as well as go inside and check out their huge tanks behind check in, and you can see the snow tigers. Next Door you’ll see Treasure Island, they have a free boat show on their dock. Also, check out the glass ceiling inside the Bellagio, they also have a pretty cool garden, that’s done up in the theme of the time of year you are in. I agree, go to shows and all that jazz ๐Ÿ™‚
