I gave up cursing. It’s hard because I’m a potty mouth. (I’m not Baptist, so Lent is just for me, but I’ve done it for years.)

@CatholicBee:IS sunday really an exempt day? That would make my life easier because my FH and I always go to breakfast and I love Chocolate Chip pancakes…

@Dsquared: It’s not a free for all day, cause it’s still part of Lent. But Sundays are not days of fasting, they are feast days because we basically celebrate a mini-Easter every Sunday. It’s up to you if you want to continue your penance on Sundays or not.

I’m giving up meat and all sweets (chocolate, dessert, soda, etc.). I’m also going to mass on Fridays in addition to Sundays…

Chocolate. Between the wedding planning and stress from work, I was eating waaaay too much chocolate. It’ll be good to give it up for 40 days 🙂

I also want to change my attitude, see things in a different light and get closer to God.

I agree with all those bees who want to become a better person. Lent seems like an excellent time to start 🙂
