I agree. When I see “picture heavy,” I tend to expect a lot more than two or three.

I think 2 or 3 is picture heavy if you have a bad internet connection so I appreciate the warning, but it’d be nice to have different degrees of picture heavy.  Like, “Picture Heavy Level 3!”  I usually say “Picture Heavyish” if I have 2 or 3 so people with slow connections are warned but no one expects a bunch of pictures.

@PuntaCanaBride:  ITA!  I am always disappointed when promised a “picture heavy” dress post and then there are only 2-3 pics.  I voted 10+ but on second thought 6-10 is pic heavy to me.

I think that it depends on the topic.  Dresses, probably 5, but the more pictures the better to see the details on the dress.  Recaps would be more than 10, but the heavier the better.  With DIYs I would think 6-8 would be heavy, but more pictures are better with how to’s.  I love picture heavy posts, I think that they are the most helpful to other brides and you really do get the best feedback from picture heavy posts.

love pic heavy posts 🙂 And by that I mean 6-10 for a ‘regular post’ but 10+ for DIYs and recaps **show me the recaps!!!** Rings/dresses I’d think 5+ qualifies a little pic heavy.

@PuntaCanaBride:  I agree! I expect to see like 10 pictures if something is labeled “pic heavy.” If there’s just a few pictures in the post I would just put “pictures” in the title.

Sorry, I put “picture heavy” on my last post because there were five HUGE pictures. Embarassed

I guess to me, 5+ is picture heavy? As PP said, it depends on the topic. I expect more pictures in a Recap or E-pic session than say, a dress post or something.

@HappierKate:  Haha! That’s a good idea to implement different levels of picture heaviness!

5 pictures is 5 pictures it isn’t “heavy” in any way. I hate coming into what I think a visually entertaining thread so see 4 pictures, pathetic. Picture “heavy” is for sure more than 10.

The only things I really consider to be pic heavy are extensive recaps – aka over 10 pictures for sure!
