snowflake8 :  She’s wrong. I worked in shoe stores for quite a while. Most women seem to be 7-8.5.

Before I had kids I was a 6 1/2. Now I’m a 7. FWIW, I don’t think 8 1/2 is very big at all.

I’m 5’7 and I was size 8-8.5 until college, since then my feet have grown to 8.5-9. I usually get a 9 now. It’s weird for me because I thought my feet wouldn’t grow again until I got pregnant? But I’m pretty sure my feet are small for how tall I am?

I am US size 6. This seems to be about an average size here (judging by the sample size that is always in the store on display it’s either 6 or 7). I guess I would say that for me, above 8 does strike as unusual, cause I have never met anyone with that size. But I think it’s a weird subject to give so much thought, and it’s was super weird and kind of rude of the sales lady to comment

I wear a size 9. I feel like it’s a pretty popular size simply because the shoe stores almost never have shoes I like in my size. I don’t consider myself to have large feet. I’m 5’8, so I feel like they’re pretty proportionate.

I’m a Euro 35/ Aus size 5. It’s annoying because a lot of shoe brands start their sizing at 6 🙁 My feet are also very narrow so even if the length of the shoe is correct they are often too wide grr.

I’m an 8.5 but my feet are unusually narrow so I have trouble finding shoes that don’t fall off my feet. I’ve been teased by relatives because my feet are really long but skinny so I guess they’re strange looking? I honestly think they’re perfectly proportional to my body.

What an off color and bizarre thing for the sales woman to comment.  I am a size 7 1/2.

7.5-8. Pretty much everyone I know is around 7-9, so I don’t think 8.5 is big.

Wow that’s so rude! Mine is between 7-8 so I definitely don’t think 8 1/2 is big. Even if she did think that it was incredibly unprofessional for her to say that.
