Sooo I have intirely too many tee shirts. Not only do I have an over abundance of T’s from swim meets, college clubs, freebees, etc. But I also have a crap ton of used up white undershirts I wore with my navy uniform. I plan on keeping about 5 of the nice crisp white ones and maybe about 5 of the ratty ones for rags… but I have NO clue what to do with the rest. I’m pretty sure the thrift store doesn’t want a bunch of white t’s. Any ideas?? Oh and I’m going to throw this out there I don’t want to make any scarves or a quilt or a bag…

nasty old undershirts and freebee shirts? Throw out the undershirts and donate the Tshirts to a shelter. Salvation army is affordable, but the people that are in need still need that much money AND a way to get there. I like.

Trash the ones that look crappy and donate the rest.

Goodwill! They will want it. I promise.
I love to keep all of my old T-shirts for working out or doing something messy.

Do you have any homeless people in your downtown? Maybe they would like them. And you do a good deed, by giving them to people in NEED! A lot of people who buy from second-hand stores are rich ladies and gents, really, I know this first-hand! Lawyers, doctors, dentists… and of course some poor people me too! BUT the people on the street DON”T have the money to buy any clothes.

For the undershirts and non-usable/donatable tshirts, maybe cut them up for dusting rags and spill rags, or even little strips outside for birds to use in nests? And I love zippylef’s idea!

Some goodwills will take tshirts and cut them up to use as shop rags, which are sold by the box.

@indibee: I’m going to turn a lot of my undershirts into rags after I get out of the AF – thanks for the suggestion!
I’ve had the same problem with too many T’s and I donate the ones that are still in good condition and throw away the ones with holes.
