I graduated in 2006. Our song was “Photograph” by Nickelback. I wasn’t happy with the choice, but now that I look back, it was cute. They played the song while they showed our baby pictures and the pictures we took all through the high school years. I was just glad it wasn’t “Time of Your Life” by Green Day though I like the band. Very overplayed.

I asked FI’s his. He graduated in 2001. I can’t stop laughing. It was “I Hope You Dance” by Lee Ann Womack. What?! Hahahaha.

@KatyElle: Oooh, I’m jealous. I’m a huge Beatles fan. I can’t stop laughing at Boyz II Men and Lee Ann Womack. Seriously?! Hahahah.

@MrsElopement: Ugh. Another one I was glad we didn’t have. I’m surprised FI’s wasn’t that either. It was popular around that time.

If I am remembering correctly, mine was Green Day’s “Time of Your Life”. I graduated in 2003, but also went to senior prom for 2000 and 2001- theirs were also the Vitamin C song (2000) and I Hope You Dance (2001) hahahaha

@WhatMaeBee: Ugh. I can’t believe I Hope You Dance was even a choice. It’s such a weird song to choose.

@Rouquine: It doesn’t even make SENSE as a graduation song! It’s about getting dumped!

We had 2 for my class of ’98; Graduate by Third Eye Blind and Fly Away by Lenny Kravitz.

@KatyElle: That’s what I thought! My first reaction was “WHAT?! That’s such a sad song!”
