On our second date, my fiance asked me what my favorite book was and it’s this really obscure story about past lives.  When I started describing it he suddenly named the author and already knew what it was!  I was speechless as he has been the one and only person I’ve ever encountered to have even heard of the book, let alone read it too.  That was big clue #1 that he was my person.

We both want to win the lottery, never work again and travel the world. Not that quirky though.

My first name is his moms maiden name. Its kind of weird because its the answer to a lot of those secret questions – mothers maiden name. At least he doesnt forget it.

teamroro :  Fiance and I both have strong opinions on theme park attire lmao. I know it sounds weird, but we go to theme parks in our area often and we usually go in comfy-athleisure type clothes so we are comfortable enough to stay the whole day. We hardcore judge people in booty shorts, flip flops, super tight jeans, belly shirts, and etc.

We have ancestors with each other’s last names. Which has the potential to be banjo town but they’re just really common Korean names. Basically I’m Smith and he’s Johnson-Brown.

We’re also the same pant size/and I like oversized tops. There’s very little division in our closet and we often buy clothes to share.

Even though we had known each other for 2.5 years before we started seeing each other, neither of us had known that the other was also into anime. And what’s more, it turns out that both of us count among our favorites this rather obscure anime called FLCL (Fooly Cooly). We’re also both big fans of the music in the series — I’ve had a CD of the sountrack for over a decade, and it turns out FH actually saw the j-rock group (The Pillows) that did the soundtrack live in concert! So jealous!

Thankfully, it turns out we have the same food intolerances: gluten, dairy, garlic, onions, and apples. Dating someone who doesn’t have the same food things as you can make mealtimes really complicated.

its not weird, but sort of uncanny. we both always blurt out the exact same things all time. not just the same words. im talking obscure numbers and noises as well. for example, we will both be complaining about something and say “he’s said that 864 times already!” or we will both make a noise like “murp” at the same time. it makes us laugh all the time. we will just look at each other and blurt shit out and its just always the same thing. he thinks were just morphing into the same person. but weve always been able to do it, even in the beginning. i think were just meant to be haha

My husband has food allergies to nuts and fish. When we started dating he told me about them and I told him that I actually don’t eat nuts or fish because I just don’t like them. I thought to myself he must think I’m a nut job trying to win his affection or something lol

We found out while planning our wedding that his parents and my parents both got married on the exact same day of the same year. So we bumped up our wedding to be on that same day.

We both have overdeveloped quads. just a genetic fluke for me.. I get asked by trainers all the time what sports I do how many squats I do etc.. nope.. just a thing that happens in my family on my dad’s side. If his is genetic it’d have to be his dad (who I’ve never met and he hasn’t seen since a young teen) but it may just be that he has always done a lot of soccer and rock climbing?

Our son will have thick stumpy legs too. We can already tell in the ultrasounds lol.

DH and I both like old planes. We were just sitting in a park a weekend ago, and an Avro Lancaster flies overhead, (one of these babies: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avro_Lancaster), and we both were so excited. Cue DH telling me that we need to go to a war plane museum near us, and me enthusiastically agreeing.

Who knew?
