I’m getting ready for a belated (Canadian) Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow, so my hands are full right now! I’m putting my feet up for a few minutes before getting back to making the stupid stuffing. I think we’ll have leftover chili for dinner since I don’t have it in me to cook ANOTHER meal tonight, LOL!

Sushi – but we’re not making it. πŸ™‚ We’re meeting friends for sushi and drinks before the last home soccer game of the regular season tonight. I almost always find myself in the mood to either go out or get takeout (or delivery) on Friday nights, so this works out well.

@missjyc: If I didn’t have this stupid headcold I’d be plowing through making this stuff for tomorrow. It’s just because I’m a bit under the weather that it’s really taking me twice as long as it typically does. Grrrrrr. I don’t find making turkey to be all that much work, I like cooking big meals for the family. Plus it saves us all the driving around between families on the holidays πŸ˜‰

We’re having scrambled tofu with pesto and garlic homefries.  I felt like having brunch for dinner!

Friday tends to me my easy day, meaning I keep it relatively quick

I have chicken thighs (boneless, skinless) defrosting in the fridge so I am thinking some baked pesto chicken, Parmesan quinoa, roasted brussels and a baby spinach, heirloom tomato and goat cheese salad. Tasty, but little work.

Well, I’m meeting friends for dinner at a restaurant – yay for not cooking!  If I wasn’t, however, I think I’d make vegetarian chili.  It’s been such a gloomy day and eating a bowl of chili and watching last night’s Jersey Shore sounds fabulous.

Well, tonight we are going out (friend in town), but last night we did tacos, and tomorrow is spaghetti.  Halfway through my month of no repeats.  I’ve done white pizza, honey/parmesan trout, jalfrezi curry, stew, bacon and tomato grilled cheese (good, but… you can’t really dip it in tomato soup. McFail), in addition to normal favorites.  Sunday, we’re doing a middle-easten baked fish recipe, then we have beef pie, roast, filled potato cakes, veggie-herb pasta (haven’t decided whether to add slices of link sausages), and meatloaf, in addition to stuff I normally cook (chicken/broccoli alfredo, catfish, pork chops baked with apple, and lemon-pepper perch.  Where’d all that beef come from?)  Night before Halloween, we’re going to a friend’s Oktoberfest/Halloween party, and his wife is cooking a Turkish meal (she being Turkish.)

Today was day one of my diet, so we had a lean pork chop with brown rice and salsa. It was ok. Could have used a bunch of cheese or something, lol.
