DH and I just adopted a beautiful black cat named Danny Boy and we are absolutely in love. We bought food, litter, toys and everything he needs but we weren’t sure what treat to buy him. What treat does your cat go nuts for? (I know all cats are different and it’s about trial and error but I wanted to get some ideas as to what people buy)
Here is a picture of our handsome boy.

Congrats! Ours love the soft blue buffalo cat treats, wet food, and go crazy for Wiskers tempatations treats especially the chicken flavor. They don’t get Tempatations much because they’re not really good for them but it’s an extra special snack if they go to the vet or something. Most cats go crazy for them

webbox, whiskers and dreamies are our top 3… be careful with cat tooth treats though (cant remember the name, they look like treats but are suppose to be toothpaste things and they where only suppose to have 2 a day) we had some and our cat somehow got the bag and wolfed them all (probably between 20-30) then vomited everywhere the vomit must of smelt like treats still because as we where cleaning he was trying to eat the sick thus making himself more sick (he is not the brightest cat and an absolout gannet) hes totally fine health wise but totally didnt learn his lesson so no more tooth treats anymore
when we got them we got cat milk by whiskers… 1 had a few licks but in general they where totally uninterested, we tried it a few more times and it always fails its only £1 a bottle so not expensive but pretty much useless

My cats are rubbish and dislike treats. I offer them fresh fish, ham and chicken and they won’t touch them. They love Dreamies and that’s all. Drives me mad that my girl eats mostly dry.

tuna juice! his tummy is delicate so he can’t handle chunk tuna from the can, but every time i open a can of tuna i give him all the juice and he LOVES it. he also likes raw ground beef and raw steak.

Bonito flakes, tuna juice and tuna fish, chicken, and raw salmon. They also love wellness treats. We tried to give our cats organic raw chicken, organ meats, and other healthy kitty foods, but they would not go for it.

treats, without fail, make my cat puke. So we don’t bother anymore. She does love her tuna juice though, and as a kitten she was all about japanese beetles (seriously, and we had a plague of them) but they don’t live where we moved, so no more of that great delicacy.

These are all excellent suggestions! Thank you so much!!

Inaba Ciao Churus and Orijen Tundra freeze dried treats. Churus are like go-gurts for cats, and I’ve never met a cat that didn’t love them. Orijen treats are dry, puffy, pulpy little sgreddable treats marketed to dog owners that are super simple (just meat and liver) and very yummy, apparently. These are the treats all 4 of my cats can agree upon.

Congrats on your new baby!! Any kind of treat is fine as long as you check the ingredients list and meat is the first ingredient (and there is no wheat gluten, corn, or artificial flavors). Purebites freeze dried meat treats are always good because meat is the only ingredient 🙂 Bonito flakes are great. Blue Wilderness soft treats are pretty decent, too. Just stay away from feeding the “Temptations” too often if you buy those! Cats love them like crack, but they will do more harm than good 😉
