@IzzyBear:  Love the look of the 2nd pair

Why wait for Nordstrom, you could buy from reputable company on line, try them on at home and return if you don’t like them. Sizing can be all over the place depending on style

My feet are a normal width size 8, possibly verging on a wide. I wanted LB’s so so badly for my wedding – love the red sole, so classic! alas, when I tried on several pairs at Holt’s they were just too uncomfortable – I wear heels often, sometimes very tall ones that other people comment on “those can’t possibly be comfortable!” But I had to take off every LB I tried on after 5-10 minutes. There was no way I could wear those for a whole wedding. SO TIGHT AND NARROW! pinching like crazy and the angle of the shoe downward is so sharp –

Having said all that I would go with the 2nd pair to at least try and get some comfort with both the platform as well as the slightly wider almond toe.

OR you could do like me and go for a pair of extremely comfortable Jimmy Choos – one of the most comfortable heels out there! Similar price points to LB!

I like the look of the first pair, it is timeless and classic. The 2nd pair is more trendy and it will be out of style soon enough.

I like the toe of the second one, and the look of the first one. I voted second though becuase I am big on what the toe looks like.

Have you had a chance to see these in person? The photos don’t show all angles, but the Decollete is way sexier in real life. The narrow almond toe and pitch of this shoe will be painful to wear until they’re broken in. The Simple is more practical with the platform and a more generous rounded toebox.

Depends if you are looking for sex-on-a-stick heels or an office pump. I personally would choose the Decollete as a special occasion shoe. If I was going for a practical pump I may as well get something from Nine West and save myself hundreds of dollars. But I know everyone is different.

Have you considered the Ron Ron?

since platforms have been in for years, i don’t consider them trendy. maybe if it had a 2 or 3 inch platform but not a 1/2 inch. they’re not going anywhere anytime soon. i voted for the platforms because i hate feeling my foot hit the ground when i walk. the only heels i have are platforms (nothing crazy though). honestly, those 2 pairs are almost identical so you just need to figure out if you want the platform or not. i don’t see one as being more classic than the other.

2nd pair look sexier and trendier! 1st pair look like a pump to wear to work with a simple suit.

If I were getting a pair, I’d go with the 2nd. They’re sexier and they’re a staple, and who doesn’t want to feel sexy in a $700+ pair of shoes?

Not to mention there’s a Nine West shoe that looks identical to your first one minus the red sole. I know because I own it, and it only cost me $60. 😉

Out of the two, I would choose the New Simples, because I own a pair of Simples (platformless) and they’re pretty comfortable, but any pair of 4+” single sole heels will wear on your feet if you’re on them all day. Platforms will definitely add comfort.

But I think that you should actually get the Rolando b/c it has the sexy silhouette of the Decollete with a hidden platform Laughing

@IzzyBear:  Yayyy!  Lol, think about it this way. It’s your one pair that you’re investing in, and the difference between the prices is the extra investment to make sure that not only are your feet looking fabulous, but they’re more comfortable too! Your feet will be thanking you for the extra 100+ you spent ^_^
