My Mother-In-Law works in the shoe section of a department store and if she sees a fantastic sale on some great shoes, she’ll buy them for me and surprise me with them the next time we see them.  It’s so sweet of her! She even now remembers my shoe size in different styles of shoes.

What a lovely gift!

I love my Future In-Laws. Super friendly, laid back people, and really fun to travel with. I got ::really:: lucky because I didn’t get along so well with my exes’ parents.

I have a great Future Mother-In-Law. She’s been taking the place of my mother in all of this wedding planning and she’s offered to do so much for me over the course of mine and FH’s relationship.

Wow, that’s awesome! I collect pigs so my Mother-In-Law will always surprise me with cute pig things she finds. It’s so sweet!

I have a great Future Mother-In-Law as well. She has been nothing but supportive, and she even took out all of the milk glass in her antique shop so that we would have it for our centerpieces. My Maid/Matron of Honor informed her that I was having an Alica in Wonderland themed bridal shower, and she quickly pulled all of her tea cups and tea pots and said to tell her what she needed to bring, cook, and do. She has been nothing but supportive of our relationship and says that I am like a daughter to her, and that if Fiance and I were to ever break up that she would kick him out of the family and keep me (joking of course). I always feel bad for the girls who have horrible in-laws, and I have such wonderful ones.

@SouthernGirl: Same situation here. She’s been a great “mom” for me.

My FMIL’s only birthday request was to get pedicures with me and her other “daughter” (in-law)…the boys paid!

When FI’s parents came down to visit us for a weekend for FI’s birthday, Future Mother-In-Law brought me an awesome, way cute Vera Bradley purse because she didn’t want me to feel left out since they were bringing Fiance birthday gifts.. haha.  Love it! She spoils me every year for my birthday and Christmas, too!

I adore, adore, adore FH mom. She’s totally my mom too at this point. I have nothing bad to say about her. She’s so strong, funny as hell, I just admire her so much. I lucked out. I read the stories on here about troubles with Future Mother-In-Law and I just can’t relate.

My Future Mother-In-Law gives us tickets to musicals all the time.  She buys them in season ticket packs, then doesn’t want to go and gives them to us.  And they are usually freakin awesome seats, usually fourth row, but once in a while 2nd row.  So far we’ve seen Dream Girls, Grease, Young Frankenstein (my fav!), Rock of Ages (2nd fav!) and Mary Poppins.  She gave us tickets to see Shrek, but it was the same day as a bridal show and my mom and sisters were travelling down to take me.

She also has a hobby of sending us cards in the mail.  For 2 weeks we got a valentines day card every day (each of us, so two cards a day for 2 weeks).  The first day there was $20 bucks in it for each of us, and every day after that the cards had $2 each in them.

She buys me stuff for no real reason.  She bought me a shirt the other day.  She ordered it out of a catalog and it was about 3 sizes to big, but it’s the thought that counts, i’ll prob just wear it to bed, nice an roomy!
