Yes!! So many!! My boss always has people coming and going out of her office which is right across the hall from me and people will just stand there and stare at me while they wait for her.

@s2bmrscook:  People are just weird.

I don’t have much of a problem with creepy people where I work, but I do get a few from time to time.

The delivery guy for a certain overnite company used to hit on me and ask me out ALL THE TIME. Ummm how many times can I say “no thanks, I’m in a committed relationship”. To have to see him every day and dread that he’d ask again was so uncomfortable.

Eventually I didn’t see him come in anymore, maybe he got fired or something.

@s2bmrscook:  haa. Glass walls. They are beautifully impractical. That sounds hilarious by the way lol. I wonder if they are looking at themselves too? I would be super creeped out. I always wonder how people who work in banks do it – like the banks that have no curtains down and as you’re walking on the sidewalk you see 6 employees all on their computers…

Oh and yeah we have creppers here too. There’s this older man who asked one of my friends out multiple times (married, which children older man) and this other guy keep stopping by my cube, at the most random times during which I’m very busy to ask me the most random questions…and when I give him short, annoyed answers he just keeps talking and answering his own question. Everyone laughs at how “polite” I am. *sigh*…one of these days…

@s2bmrscook:  Yes I totally do! Some days I ask if I can help them but they just say no and keep staring.

The landscapers in my neighbourhood are pretty bad too. They just stand there and stare… do your damn work!

@s2bmrscook:  I think it is human nature to be nosy. People always want to know the lastest gossip and details about people’s lives (even when – and sometimes especially if – it has nothing to do with them). The thread on Kim Kardashian is a perfect example. Why should we care? Why do we stare at her and judge? I don’t know why, but we do.

I am travelling this week so I am actually in an office space as opposed to my home. It is horrible. Everyone is SO loud, they stare at you, they listen to your conversations, and it is just an all around awful experience. I will never be able to go back to working in an office, this much I know. Working from home without the prying nosy eyes of strangers is my ideal 😛

Sigh. People are so dumb. We have people ignore all six signs outside that point you towards the parts desk and come in the door by my desk and want to open the window and talk to me. NO. GO AROUND BACK LIKE ALL OF THE SIGNS SAY.

As far as creep, there’s this regular who’s a giant creep. He called in to talk to one of the guys and asked me what I was wearing. I laughed it off that time and said, “Uhhh, khakis.” Then he came into the office and started walking towards my desk, asked me what I was wearing, and said he wanted “a peek.” GROSS. I flipped out on him a little (I believe I said, “Oh, hell no. Go see H and keep that shit to yourself.”). He no longer does that.

We do have another giant creeper who cornered the last girl in my job over on the other side of the office where no one can see you. Grossssssssss. We would have had some issues had that happened to me. The guys I work with are good about keeping an eye on him, though. He typically stays on the other side of my desk, though he did grab the extra chair and move it to the end of my desk (and moved my strategically placed trash can) and then didn’t move it back. He’s not allowed to sit anymore.

@s2bmrscook:  They’re probably just bored and people watching. I doubt they’re taking any special interest in you.. if that helps. I can imagine it would feel a bit weird, but I doubt they’re doing it deliberately even.

@s2bmrscook:  Hahaha maybe they need to stay hydrated?! 😛

Glass walls are a strange concept indeed!

As we were entering Wal-Mart yesterday, we passed two gals probably my BFs age (35+) who just stared at me the full 30 or so seconds they were approaching, to the point that they turned around to keep watching us walk by.

I’m kind of used to it from the tattoos and stare back if I notice it, and this time I really didnt. But BF apparently did and for some reason didnt appreciate it: he turns around and goes, quite loud, “WHAT are you STARING at?”

Again, I didnt really even notice it, but it was obviously bad enough that HE did.

“Zoo animal” is definitely a good expression.
