Yay! I had mine out when I was 13, it wasn’t too long before I went back to school 🙂

Have fun with your squishy food!  Make sure you drink those milkshakes with a spoon and not a straw.

I remember having mine removed. Now is a great time for sympathy favors and getting your favorite soup (unless it involves heavy chewing). If you put ice packs in pantyhose and tie them around your face it makes your swelling subside more evenly. Plus, you don’t have to hold them on so your hands are free for net surfing.

Neither of us have had ours out yet. We are waiting until after the wedding for full insurance. lol. I am glad you made it though! Enjoy the net and the milkshakes (and slleping in)! Yummo!

That was the worst part, not being able to use a straw at all!  But you really don’t want a dry socket, I’ve heard they are so painful.

@ILikePinkYou’re welcome. I did that and my swelling was down in time for school pictures. It helps that you can wear them while sleeping too. My sister resents that I didn’t think of that for her–her chipmunk cheeks are forever memorialized in her university ID photo. Tongue out

I’m one of the lucky few who doesn’t have any wisdom teeth at all. They never came in, just went to the dentist last week and got updated xrays and they still haven’t. My dentist said its pretty safe to say that at 26 I probably won’t get them. But my brother got one at 25, so there’s a tiny chance. I hope they never come cuz I don’t have any room in my mouth for them!

I wish you a good recovery!

I had an infection after all my wisdom teeth were taken out. Don’t know if it was dry socket or what. It was really bad for 2 weeks, but I don’t think it’s common, just my bad luck!
