Some people just have to be an ass.  It is like their day just isn’t complete without bringing somebody else down.

Keep your chin up!  He’s likely a very unhappy person.

Have you tried asking him why this is important, since it seems like you are the one who takes care of the time sheets anyway? It just seems so petty and trivial to me, I wonder why it matters to him so much

i’ve found in these situations it is best to just do whatever stupid thing the boss is demanding. Because like it or not, he’s the boss – you aren’t. So if it’s a power struggle, I guarantee he will win. It’s best to take the high road, obnoxiously, and just do it. It will make your life a lot better at work and you will look really good.

Oh gotcha. What a crummy situation. I hate people who are like that, my old boss was a little bit like that, but we had a more personable relationship where I could actually say my piece, and not hve too much backlash. Her husband worked with us, and he was the buffer between us.

I guess the only answer is to find another job, or just grin and bear it. Hopefully you won’t have to deal with it anymore today, at least!! And glad the other bosses are nice, at least you have that!
