Marche in the west loop is wonderful and the decor is awesome (looks like Moulin Rouge meets Carnivale!). It’s perfect for a girl’s night out!

If you’re looking for a crowd-pleaser, also look into Grand Luxe on Michigan Ave. It’s a chain but it’s pretty nice and their menu is HUGE so there’s something for everyone. My friends and family from out of town love that place.

Nacional 27 – good mexican(?) food.  Dancefloor opens up at night (after 9pm i believe).

Quartino – Italian tapas.  its a bit loud in there but its a huge restaurant and many of my friends like it.

I second Quartino– you can eat and drink inexpensively and the atmosphere is fun with a group!  For steak, I love David Burke and Carnivale has a really great ambience and the food is delicious.

One of my fave restaurants in this city is Gilt on Kinzie street.  The food is SO good, and I love the laid back but chic atmosphere.  Would love to hear other people’s fave restaurants!
