I live in Toronto! And yes the costs are insane! We have a condo and thats all we can afford even though we both make a decent living! I’ve actually never been to Alberta and really want to go! We should switch homes for a week! haha

I know what you mean! I used to live in a smaller town and always dreamed of living in Toronto….so after university I decided to make the move! While I miss my small town, espcially the cost of living, I wouldn’t change it for the world!

Oh no snow again!! We are in double digits right now, which is super rare for March!

I love Toronto! I don’t wish we lived there, we are in NYC, but my Fiance was born and brought up there and it’s so clean and friendly every time we visit. And I love the iced capps from Tim Hortons.

Haruyou:  Awwwww, I definitely know that feeling!

My sister lives in Toronto and DH and I had planned on moving there at the start of this year, once I had finally finished studying. We were so excited to live somewhere so big and fast-paced (very different from our home in New Zealand!) but after we had all our tickets booked we got some unexpected news that put a major spanner in the works. Instead we had to re-prioritise and made a much smaller move across the ditch to Australia.

I’m happy with our decision given our circumstances, but it still makes me quite sad from time to time. I guess what I’m trying to say is that I can definitely relate to the dream, and hope that the right opportunity presents itself for you to make the move in the future. In the meantime, make sure you stay open to other possibilities to shake things up – you never know what could be around the corner!

🙂

I love the idea of moving to Canada in general.  I have never been before but something about it just really appeals to me!  My Fiance is exactly the same, obsessed with Canada but never actually been haha!

Why not live in the burbs outside Toronto but close enough to commute? I LOVED living in Etobicoke, which is still technically part of Toronto. And now I live in Mississauga and can still be downtown on a gorgeous patio or checking out the CN Tower in 20mins.

Come on just dooo it!

saratiara2:  This was me as well! That super-busy city scene got old for me quick and I ran back to small-town life an hour outside of T.O. Close enough, but not too close!

Same here, I love the hustle and bustle of the city along with the skyscrapers. I lived in the suburbs for my entire life then moved downtown for school. I couldn’t get enough of it so when I had the means, I moved back down here again. The housing market is completely redonkulous!!!

Ahh tall buildings <3
