I used Joseph Macchia aka  Joseph John Design for my wedding. He was amazing and very reasonable. I suggest you (or anyone) contact him! http://josephjohndesigns.com/

oy i wish i saw any of these NYC florist quotes! i had to go off my venue’s exclusive florist list, and they all are very much $15,000-$20,000 for 200 guests! kill me.

we’re gonna go with an outside vendor in NJ (Vanessa at MetroPlant – she’s great!) where our quote is just under $5,000. we’ll have to pay our venue a $3,500 fee for not using one of their exclusive florists (which is such a racket, ugh!) but sadly it’ll still be cheaper…

@sk8ter: That’s RIDICULOUS!!! Yikes!

Has anyone thought of going the DIY route? It’s pretty simple to do online nowadays and you can usually save TONS. But, you of course will need someone to set it up the day of the wedding. If you are interested in the DIY/ Online option you can check out Bloominous on Last Minute Wed: http://www.lastminutewed.com/deal/bloominous-com/
