I need help thinking of ideas where to do a bride and groom wedding shoot before my ceremony on 01/03/09. We’re getting married in NYC and the idea was to take pics outside: central park, Columbus circle, Rockefeller center, etc. I just checked the weather and the forecast is for Scattered Snow Showers.
Please help me think of a back up plan for grand, historic, iconic and gorgeous indoor place in NYC where we can take our couple pictures. So far, all i can think of is Grand Central Station and i heard you need a permit!
Please help me come up with other indoor places where we can take our photos.
Thanks to all!

Do those photos absolutely have to be taken the day of or would you feel comfortable rescheduling just the photo shoot?
Grand Central Station would be awesome – how hard is it to get a permit? I would suggest places, but I think the permit might be a problem with lots of indoor sites, museums, etc. NYC has lots of funny laws about indoor photography of public places.
Have you talked with your photographer about this? Surely he/she has encountered this situation before and would be able to give good advice. If not, ask him/her to ask photographer friends.

- Wedding: March 2005 - Westside Loft, New York
Mrs. Peony took engagement pics at the Met:
I’m not sure what the restrictions on the other museums are, but the Guggenheim is also stunning and the Museum of Natural History would be a lot of fun.
Also how about a cafe or restaurant that is special to you? mrs. ladybug took breakfast pics the morning of her wedding and they were adorable.
