Hoping some of you can recommed a secondhand bridal shop in NYC. Unfortunatly, I have to shop for my dress alone, and I really don’t want a salesperson trying to sway me into something that I really dont like. My budget is relativly small (I’m trying to max out at $400, but really want to stay under), but I know I can find something great!
I tried Modcloth, and while I do like the dress, its hard for me to see how it fits, as I don’t really have proper mirrors or lighting. I’m in love with their style, as well as BHLDN, so that’s the vein I’m searching for. I’m willing to buy used over the net for a better deal, but only if I am able to try it on somewhere first.
Thanks for the help! I’m starting to stress out.

I know there is the bridal garden, on w 21st, which has some second hand/samples, and the proceeds go to charity. Have you tried davids bridal?
Also this may be weird but if you need someone to come with you I’ll come shopping! I’m a waiting bee and can’t wait to start trying on dresses, it’s the part I’m looking forward to most. Shouldn’t be something a girl isn’t stoked about 🙂

Bridal Garden is one option. Another store is RK Bridal, not secondhand but usually lots of previous years styles so prices are better. and I had luck at Davids. I really love my dress and it was $300.

At Bridal Garden you likely won’t find anything in your price range – my budget was 1000 and there was nothing in mine!!

Bhldn carries some dresses on sale for $400 just gotta watch the sales section like a hawk. And you can always make an appointment with BHLDN to try some dresses on and they’ll order the dress for you free of shipping and returns are also free if you ordered the dress at the store.

I’m sorry I didn’t reply sooner! Your offer was so sweet; I really appreciate it! I actually “happened” upon a dress that I had been eyeing (read: stalking) online on the BHLDN site, and somehow fate stepped in. Not only was I able to purchase it, but it was on super sale!! I snagged the right size at 8 am and by 2 pm they were all sold out! I am so exited! Now to find a seamstress/tailor!
