Thought I’d bump this up with some of my recent research.

The Wythe Hotel – Williamsburg Brooklyn – Seated dinner $375 per person with 140-person maximum. Pretty much all inclusive – tables, chairs, full top-shelf bar, hors douerves, raw bar, cake, family style dinner, etc.

The Liberty Warehouse – Red Hook – $160-$185 per person for a Saturday – seem open to negotiations. 175 person minimum for Saturdays. Cheaper and lower minimums for Fridays and Sundays.

Brooklyn Winery – Williamsburg Brookyln – $260-$285 per person seated dinner

The Montauk Club – Beautiful space but was not impressed with the menu. VERY reasonable compared to most venues in Brooklyn. About $160 per person seated.

The Foundry – Raw Space – $11K+ site fee

The Green Building – $10K+ site fee

Brooklyn Botanical Garden – they are undergoing a major change now with their catering company. It used to be a very reasonable (for the space and reputation of BBG) $220-$250 per person + $5k site fee, but is bumping up to $365 per person. Deposit is $10K. Maximum capacity is 300 for seated dinner. I don’t know if this matters to anyone else, but the auxiliary spaces (hallways to enter Palm Court, Bathrooms, In-Case-of-Rain spaces) are HIDEOUS in my opinion — such a shame since the Palm Court itself and the BBG grounds are some of the most beautiful spaces in NYC.

So far I have checked out:

Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge

Sheraton in Brooklyn

Boathouse in Propspect Park

Terrace on the Park

Metropolitan Builiding LIC

Renaissance Event Hall

The only two contenders on the list for us are Marriott and Boathouse, and even those aren’t perfect…. the search continues!!
