- Wedding: January 2017 - Haiti, Hawaii or San Diego, CA
We’re planning a 12/31/11 wedding. I’ve quickly learned that we should have started planning this wedding, as for as the venue is concerned, like 6 months or even a year ago.
Anyone have any ideas for local and affordable venues in Northern or Central California? Including photos or websites will be much appreciated. Thank you.
By The Way, our budget is under $8,000 and we’re having no more than 50 guests.

It may take quite a few calls to see who isn’t already booked due to the popular and expensive night that your wedding will be on. Typical places are most likely already booked. Places like community centers might work out well. Pacific Grove Community Center, Asilomar, Bayview Opera House in SF, Brentwood Senior Center, Coyote Point Museum. Good luck with your search!

Most hotel venues should be able to accomodate a dinner reception for 50 people. you’re not throwing a ‘new year’s eve party’ so i dont think they would charge you ridiculous room rental fee. i assume having 50ppl for dinner would be a good source of revenue for them, check around the hotels.
with your $8000 budget for 50 guests, u should be able to get a rather nice hotel in SF and surrounding cities.
