Hi everyone,
Im hoping someone thats more familiar with charting can help me read my chart. Ive read a lot of debates on opinions regarding FAM vs Advanced method on FF and though I understand the difference I’m not sure what to think of my chart. When I put it on advanced, I get dotted CH’s at CD 14.However, when I change it to FAM the CH’s go away completely. I had VERY EWCM around CD14-15 and then it went sticky. My OPKs didnt match my CM though. I use the Clearblue advanced fertility monitor and got negative readings up until CD 17 and have been ‘high’ readings from CD17-CD19.I know my temps are not very high compared to the beginning of my cycle but I wanted to get opinions on what you expereinced charters think, have I ovulated or no? Oh, on CD 18, I have a slight fever so I discarded that temp(99.12). I chart at the same time each day.
Thank you for any help you can offer!

Sorry I don’t have any detailed help, but it looks like you ovulated to me! Good luck!

If I was looking only at your temps, I would say maybe, more likely yes if they continue to go up over the next few days. But if you look at the whole picture with your CM and monitor readings, I really don’t think you did. Everyone’s temps are different, but 97.4 or 97.5 is pretty low for post-O temps (mine are always over 98 by O+2). I think it’s still coming. Definitely keep BD (assuming you’re ttc)!

Mrs.Dew: I would leans towards No because of your cervical mucus, no positive OPKs and your previous cycle also looked rocky and you had a positive OPK which you clearly did not O after- it looks like you geared up to O and it didn’t happen.
IF you did O I would expect your temps to remain high and AF to come sometime between CD 26-30 (or a positive pregnancy test in that time frame)
Do you normally have irregular cycles?

im leaning towards no as well. it definitely looks like you have had a temp shift according to your chart but if you look at previous chart you had an annovulatory cycle with temps in the same low range. im thinking your temps will get into the low 98s when you ovulate. also with the multiple patches of EWCM and high readings on your monitor you could be gearing up to O and for some reason haven’t been able to release the egg. but no, i don’t think you’ve ovulated yet although that temp shift looks deceiving.

kes18: In the past 6 months, my cycles have been pretty much 35-40 days. I would get a positive OPK around CD21-23 and then a cycle to follow 14-16 days later. Last cycle, I had a 65 day cycle out of no where which has never ever happened and it just so happened that was the cycle I had the progestrone test drawn based on +OPK day. So, progestrone levels were super low, .3, but im not sure if that was just a one time deal since my cycle has never ever gone that long. Thanks for your reply, hopefully its coming over the next few days. Seems like as soon as I started temping everything went out of whack 🙁

knpswp: Thank you for your reply. yea, I was really thrown off by the lack of a +OPK. I hope its coming over the next few days and isnt like my last cycle which was an oddball. I’ve never gone over a 40 day cycle and the first cycle I start temping I do! Go figure:)

Kayla0416: thanks for your reply. My cycles werent really irregular, just long, usually 35-40 days. In the past 6 months I would get a +OPK at CD21-23 with a cycle to follow 14-16 days later so I thought everything was fine. Last cycle, my dr wanted me to have progestrone test done so I started charting and ofcourse that cycle was 65 days out of nowhere. Ive never even been on BC so I have no clue why that happened. I was hoping the last cycle was just a weird one and it would straighten itself out again this cycle but Im fearing the worst again. Hopefully ill see a temp rise in the next few days! Also this morning my temp was 97.47 and OPK was still at “high”

Your last cycle looks annovulatory to me, so maybe that’s what’s happening this cycle too. You can get + OPK readings without actually ovulating.

ks835: Thank you for your reply! I was very torn but based on my temp today and a high reading today on my OPK I may have to wait another few days to know 🙁

Mrs.Dew: Are you still using OPKs to see if you’ll get a positive today or over the next few days? If you normally get them around day 21-23 that is upcoming still

kes18: I am. I got a “high” reading this morning on the clear blue monitor but the wondfo strips were completely negative. Temp was 97.47. Hopefully today or tomorrow ill see a peak opk followed by a temp spike. I’m going a little crazy!

I think you didnt O yet . I’ve just conceived this cycle and had a ridiculously long cycle of about 55 days! Normally my cycles are 37 days give or take but i must have gotten stressed when we did this road trip, geared up to O on CD24 with a positive opk, the ewcm only 3 days ofter, no clear temp rise, so i kept temping in hopes it was me gearing to O but missing it, then later had another +ve opk on cd40 with ewcm and a temp rise! So i’m guessing usually your body will gear up to O Twice before it throws in the towel and you get AF day, so you could still have a chance!!
Drove me crazy too! Oh and then 12 days later we got a +ve HPT 🙂 good luck!

jammer62: yea, thats what happened last cycle I think. I havent gotten a positive OPK this month yet so maybe ill see more drastic of a temp spike after that. fingers crossed! thanks for replying
