Kannon :  I saw an MFM so no OB recs, but I delivered at NYP Weill Cornell by scheduled c-section and the nurses, lactation consultants, staff pediatricians, etc. were consistently amazing. I would enthusiastically recommend delivering at that hospital.

Kannon :  Not pregs, but my sister had her baby with Allegra Cummings at St Luke’s. I go to her as well, she’s amazing, really takes her time and listens!

I’m CFBC, but I highly recommend Dr. Anna Barbieri (91st and Columbus, Sinai affiliated). and I’ve heard other women in the office praise all the doctors.

Feist :  I also delivered at Weill Cornell with a MFM and I’d agree with everything you said except that I thought their lactation consultants were terrible across the board. (I had primary lactation failure and low supply so they might be great for the majority of new moms, but they were pretty useless when it came to giving any actual help for my issues.) Besides that, though, it was a great experience! Nurses, doctors and other staff were all fantastic.

Kannon :  I’m currently pregnant (16w) and am seeing Dr. Wu at NYP Cornell. https://weillcornell.org/sidney-wu-md-6656

I also plan to deliver at Weill Cornell at 68th St. My husband’s co-worker also used the same OB/GYN practice for her two boys (5y and 6mo) and highly reccomended them! https://weillcornell.org/obgyn61

Dr. Wu is also a memeber of this practice, but is new, so she isn’t listed on the website yet.

My only advice is not St. Luke’s. Anything but St. Luke’s. My husband is a resident in the city and just…. not not not St. Luke’s.

KatieBklyn :  I’m sorry the lactation consultants weren’t helpful for you. We had a tongue tie, and they were helpful about that without being overbearing (my milk came in on day 2 and we had a good latch so I was thankful they left that alone and didn’t interfere with anything, but I could see how the approach would not be helpful in all situations.)

What was crazy to me was how nice the housekeeping staff were, checking on me each time they emptied the trash.

Feist :  Yes, totally! The housekeeping staff were amazing. And the people who came around with food trays were always offering my husband an extra one, too. I loved how friendly and kind everyone was.
