I feel your pain! I tried to start etsy-addicts-anonymous here on the Bee but we all ended enabling each others addictions instead of preventing eachother from purchasing by sharing our favorite Etsy shops…lol. I too have a tendancy to browse daily for ideas for things I want…

I also love etsy!  I love all the hand made items but I also LOVE the vintage items.  It is such a great collection and you can always find what you need.

YES.  Etsy is AMAZING.  I spend all my time drooling over the things I find on it!

I got a lot of really cute things for the wedding, but I agree, there were LOTS of things that I wanted.  I got a TON of brooches for my brooch bouquet….some of which I still need to sell b/c I didn’t end up using them all.

Some of my best deals were a custom-made cake stand inspired by Martha Stewart (the seller was amazing to work with too, and was done SUPER quick): http://www.etsy.com/transaction/32136886

and my ring pillow: http://www.etsy.com/transaction/32068272.

After a ton of browsing and favoriting, I finally crossed through the looking glass…I opened my own store!!  I’m really excited about it and am trying to learn as much as I can about running my own Etsy store.  I made so many things for my wedding and had all my bride-friends telling me I should open my own store, so I did!! Even though it just started, I am so happy to finally have an outlet for doing the kind of things that I love!

Does this take the obsession to a whole ‘nother level????

I LOOOOOOVE Etsy!!! I know it sounds crazy, but I’m thinking of buying my wedding dress on Etsy. They have a ton of gorgeous gowns, I’ll probably try on some in a boutique first so I know which fit I like best.

etsy is the equivalent of internet crack. i am addicted. i can find that left-hand red ‘wedding’ tab without even looking at the screen now. my fingers have literally ‘muscle memorised’ the exact directions, pressure and length of scroll i need to exert on my touch-pad to get to the link. i wish this impressive new skill could be afforded the recognition it deserves.

Etsy was an awesome resource for our wedding- and I’m still on there after! It’s my number one place to look for unique Christmas gifts. And yes, I’m on there every day! There’s always something fun to find.
