Ok, so I know I still have 15 days until the wedding (fifteen days!) but I have been obsessively checking the weather for weeks now! First, I googled historical data for the weather on July 9th for every year since records began (I only went back ten years though). It looked pretty promising, albeit a bit hot. I then decided that maybe that was a bad thing because eventually, the streak of good weather was going to be broken.
I then found the Farmer’s Almanac and read their predictions for July 7 – 11 for my region and was pretty happy with that forecast too. But then I went back and checked their accuracy against the weather in June and I’d say it’s only about a 60 – 70% accuracy rate. Hmm…
So tonight, I just found accuweather.com which gives a fifteen day forecast! That includes today so it only goes up through July 8th, but you can bet I will be on that site first thing tomorrow!!!
Am I the only one who has gone off the deep end on checking weather forecasts!?!? Darn these outdoor ceremonies and the additional stress they cause! 🙂

I wouldn’t rely too much on historical data. Global warming is affecting our weather more and more each year. Insanzy!
I sincerely wish that you have a beautiful wedding day though!

Aww, thank you so much! 🙂 Yeah, global warming is really becoming more and more apparent, it’s a bit scary!

We’re date twins, and I’m getting married too! (Oconomowoc)
Right now, it says scattered showers– check this site out!
Good luck to us!

I’m doing it too! It did say sunny a few days ago, and now scattered showers!

I have scattered showers. Not really bothered. What can you do?

Wooo! Accuweather says 0% chance of rain w/ a high of 84 and weather.com says high of 80 w/ a 10% chance of rain. That’s a lot better than what it said yesterday. Lets hope the forecast just keeps getting better for all of us!

Argh, showers predicted now on three websites, strong storms predicted on a fourth website. Boo. I’ve been checking accuweather since the 15 day forecast was posted and we’ve gone from 78 and partly sunny, to 85 and sunny, to 83 rainy and humid, to 93 and abundant sunshine, to the current 73 and showers. 🙁
I’d like to not put any faith into a ten day forecast but the fact that the same forecast is predicted on four different websites has me thinking there may be some validity to it….please I hope not!
Fingers crossed for good weather for all of us! 🙂
