I am sorry you are haing a difficult time, the job market really sucks right now. Is there any job near where your Fiance works that you could apply for and ride in together or something within walking distance to your home?

@Sweet_Tea:  Have you called them? Were they going to call you, or were you supposed to call them? Perhaps they had technical issues, or something happen?

Give them a call to make sure it wasn’t just a technical issue or a mishap on their part.

@Sweet_Tea:  Call or email your contact at the company to find out what happened.  Following up always looks professional and even if they have made an offer already, they may come back to you if the offer is turned down.  As far as the company being a scam, make sure to google the company and study it’s online presence.  It will also give you an idea of the company’s goals so you can work into your interview how you align with their goals.

@Sweet_Tea:  Yeah, the market is so bad right now. 🙁 They say if you don’t have a full-time job, looking for a job is your full-time job. If you have time on your hands, you should send at as many applications as possible, like a ton. That’ll keep you from fixating and worrying about any one job possibility, too. Another option is to study while you’re at home, or even take a distance course. That’ll keep you busy and help expand your job opportunities. 🙂 There’s a site I heard about, corsera.org, where you can take free university-level classes (some even give you a certification), so that could help. (I haven’t tried them myself, but my friend has, and no I’m not an advertising bot.) But sometimes you want advice and sometimes you just need someone to say I’m sorry that’s such a rotten situation. :/
