The wedding went off almost flawlessly. Any issues were ones that guests would never notice such as the absence of my Polaroid cake topper as the camera broke on the way to the church. All of our vendors did an amazing job and people were up dancing all night long. My fianc…husband is still raving that he cant believe how much he loved everything. My only recommendations to other girls are as follows,
1) Hire a day of coordinator, everything got done without one but the weight fell to my father and a good friend… great friend It would have been worth the extra money. We left a case of wine at home, needed coffee beans, someone to time things a last minute target run, an ATM run because we couldn’t find the checkbook etc.
2) I tried to save and not hire a videographer, it went OK but I wish some stuff could have been recorded. Have 2 borrowed video cameras circling (1 that we had didn’t catch it all specifically an incredible dance that we did at the end)
3) DIY’s don’t always save you money and when they do they cost you time, my DIY photo booth was awesome but still cost $300+ and cost me an hour that day and many hours in the weeks prior. It can be worth it but really think about if it is before you go trying to take on every project like I did. Going back I dont think I would take on as much but just enjoy the experiance more, and spend more time with those who came out to see both of us.

Congratulations! You look beautiful! I love the picture of your husband giving you a cheek kiss. I was an October 6 bride as well, and I’m totally jealous you have pictures already from you photographer

Excellent advice and beautiful pictures! Is that your dad walking you down the aisle…he looks so proud (and handsome!). You looked AWESOME – love your dress and your hair, love the pic of hubs kissing you in front of the blue door – how romantic!

I agree with you with the DIY….it takes time. My invites drove me crazy, but I saved a lot. I saw that some people DIYed and it cost them more or about the same if they would have gotten a professional.

@jlh8787: I totally agree with all your tips! I think if I had to give three it would be the EXACT same things. My uncle had his camera on video the entire wedding and looking back on the videos (even though they aren’t professional quality) is AMAZING!! The videos are hilarious and you get to see all the little things you didn’t know about. The coordinator thing is so true too- the photographer was great but she did need a little extra help wrangling my rowdy relatives for pics haha.
You look GORGEOUS in your photos!! LOVE your dress!!! Best wishes to you and your husband!

@lizzy105: We had a camera but it did miss 1 specific dance forma bluegrass band but everyone could have used the coordinator, but im going to blame the unrualy guests (best kindd btw) on 1/2 the guests being Boston Irish, our DJ commented that He had never actually seen the guests get going before he had started the music!
