I don’t think there’s anything wrong with having professional photos done “just because.” You could do a 1 year anniversary photo shoot if you really wanted a “reason” to do one.

But no, there’s no reason you still can’t do it. I say go for it!

TwinkleBoss :  I don’t think it’s stupid at all because I’ve begun to think the same thing. I thought it would be over with the enagement and wedding shoots but I wasn’t completely happy with how my hair/makeup turned out on my wedding date and it got me to thinking on possibly doing an anniversary shoot in my wedding dress (I saw someone else do that on FB before and hadn’t considered it till now).

Also, they do shoots for when you’re pregnant, and of course with your babies (their birthdays, ect). That is if you’re planning on having kids.

I think why not, if you can afford it and it makes you happy go for it ๐Ÿ™‚ We will only look this young now lol I was actually just looking at old childhood photos and looking at pictures of my parents and they were so young and beautiful. You’d be paying for capturing moments in time ๐Ÿ™‚

Anniversary shoots for sure, I was going to say maternity/family but you mentioned that’s not on the table.

I know hubby and I are planning on doing a ‘just because’ shoot when we both hit our goal weights because for our engagement/wedding pictures he really isn’t happy with himself.

In my area, a lot of people get them done in Fall and use them for Christmas cards!

TwinkleBoss :  I know quite a few couples who have done “adventure” photo shoots after their wedding and they look amazing! Check out Charleton Churchill for some ideas.

No reason needed! If you want to have a shoot done, then do it! Sometimes people do vacation photo shoots. When I was in Mexico, one of the excursions had professional photographers take pictures when we were on the beach waiting. We did like a 30 minute session with a photographer which was pretty cool seeing as we didn’t expect to, but we got some great photos!

TwinkleBoss :  You can always have professional photos done. I’m a professional wedding photographer and I photograph anniversary and couples sessions all the time. Likewise, I make my DH have photos taken every year of us for our Christmas cards. ๐Ÿ™‚

We always get professional photos done – Christmas, maternity, new born, family portraits, anniversary. I’ve even seen photographers at gender reveals, first birthdays, parties, etc.
