My parents just got back from the RIU in Ocho Rios and had a GREAT time. Have you talked to a travel agent? THey can put the whole package and shebang together for you…i’d rather do that than try to book it all separately. Pretty sure my parents flew into Ocho Rios….the idea of them taking a bus doesn’t pull up memories for me

That sounds so much fun! I’ve always heard such great things about Sandals resorts as well. As far as booking I would call a travel agent or look up some websites that may be able to help you. You could also call Sandals and ask some general questions.

we are doing Sandals Grande in St. Lucia.  My TA, Jennifer at VIP Vacations was fabulous at helping us book it all. We had to fly out of Houston and then back to Chicago and she worked it out for us.  http://www.travelbyvip.com is her email.  I highly recommend her.  Plus now we are just too excited about the honeymoon!!

We’re staying at Couples in Ocho Rios, and they shuttle us there free of charge.  Maybe see if Sandals offers a shuttle?

When I went, we flew into Montego Bay and then took a shuttle bus to our resort in Ocho Rios. It wasn’t that bad, and I often get car sick if I don’t sit in the front of a car (not sure why that makes a difference, but it does for some reason). The drive was a bit crazy, but not terrible at all.

I think it took a little over an hour (?) – it was like 6 years ago when I went, but like I said, it wasn’t that bad, and I often get car sick. It’s a bit “off the beaten path” type of ride, like, our bus has to stop because some cows/goats were crossing the road, but it was fun. I know some peeps drink as soon as they hit Jamaica, and I’d imagine it wouldn’t be that fun of a trip with a few drinks and no food in you 🙂
