I’m just look for some wedding weekend twins!
What have you checked off of your wedding to-do list?
We are day twins and city twins!
I’ve got my dress, the venue, the photographer, and the photo booth. I still need to find a DJ and an officiant. I haven’t decided if I want a videographer or not.
! Date and city twin! Here’s hopin’ the weather is nice for us!
I’ve got the venue and the dress… workin’ on getting the band now. Any suggestions for photographers?
And if you don’t mind me asking, which venue did you go with?
Hi date twins!
We have a ceremony venue, and should be putting a deposit down on a reception venue this week! We have an officiant (step-brother’s wife).
DIY that’s done: Guest book, Save the Dates, Memory Books, Bouquet for me and MoH, design of invites, design of program, design of table numbers, design of escort cards,
DIY in progress: Cutting out invite pieces/envelopes, centerpieces/favors (1/3 done), photobooth (2 backdrops done….some props purchased), Out of Town bags (some items purchased and stencil designed), wedding party bags (1/2 bags purchased & stencil ready).
DIY yet to start: veil, wedding shoes (maybe or maybe not DIY….if I can’t find a comfortable flat for cheap, I’ll buy a cheap slipper or something and bling it up!), Champagne ice sculpture chillers, bell bouquets (we can’t toss rice or seed at our venue), boutonnieres.
Still need: reception venue, dress, and probably a lot of stuff I’m forgetting!
Are you ladies having an indoor or outdoor ceremony??
we are getting married in city park. The ceremony will be in the garden and the reception will be in the pavillion of two sisters. What venue did you pick?
Wow, you are on a roll with your diys! I’m jealous! Our ceremony will be outside in the garden in a park. There are two football stadiums in the park. So there will be at least one (if not two) high school football games going on during our ceremony… should be interesting. Ive been told that the side of the garden we picked is the quieter side. The other part of the garden was prettier but I don’t want to be able to hear a clear play by play of the games. I’m hoping we luck out and the teams playing are from smaller schools without huge bands. I kind of think it’s funny now but I don’t know if I’ll still think it’s funny on the day of the wedding. I just plan on keeping the ceremony as short as possible. I knew I wanted this venue and they book up really quickly. I knew I wanted the wedding to be in October and the only dates they had left were Fridays. Maybe one of the teams will get a touchdown right after we say I do and the crowds will be cheering really loud. Eh… I’m trying to look on the bright side of the situation.
Our date is 10/13/2012! We are getting married in the North GA mountains in a resort-type neighborhood. The ceremony will be in a chapel and the reception in a will be both indoor and outdoor at a reception hall.
So far we have the venues lined up, the chapel comes with an officiant, and a photographer lined up.
I have EVERYTHING else left to do. I take the GA bar in Feb, I doubt I’ll get to do much until after then. The only tasks I hope to accomplish before then is asking my BMs, finding a dress and finding Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses. The rest will have to wait until March.
Yay us!
As for your question, mine will be outside. The weather is usually amazing during that time, so I’m counting on that. LOL!
I love the Court of Two Sisters! I’ve never been to a wedding there but it’s beautiful and the food is amazing!
My gosh guys!! I feel like such a slacker!
Just moved from Chicago to Sheboygan and no luck finding the right venue yet. Also havent designed my dress yet let alone purchased it. We have ideas for our save the dates and invites – but not done yet! Awaaa
Even trying to find the venue is making me feel like a nervous wreck, but it HAS to be done! It’s hard to find a place the ‘feels like us’ you know?
I’m Oct 13th too 😀
October 13! We’re having an outdoor ceremony…in Iowa (again – jealousy for those NOLA brides!). I’m super nervous about trying to have it outside. We’ll be right on the river, which is why I chose to do this. But I’m unsure as to our backup plan…there’s a mansion on the property, but it certainly won’t fit all 150+ of our guests! More like…maybe 50 could see us if we had to move inside. The rest could be in the house, but prob not in the room. Should we just reserve a tent in case and hope for the best. (I don’t really want/don’t want to pay for a tent either, but we have to have something, right?)
Finding a venue was the hardest…now it’s deciding a color scheme! We’ve got the venues, officiant, and photog booked. None of the DIY stuff at all!!
I’m super happy to see more brides for that weekend. For a minute there, I thought it was going to be a quiet one on the Bee. LOL!
