Sorry I’ve been MIA for 4 months! Here’s some of our photographers pictures. I’m planning to have more taken because we didn’t get any of my hubby & I posed together :-/
The reception tables (DH did the centerpieces)
My DIY birdcage card box
My bouquet (silk flowers)
DIY flower girl basket
Darling Husband wearing a Darth Vader helmet
A couple of Groomsmen wearing their storm trooper helmets
The grooms party walked to the “Imperial March”
My adorable flowergirl
The whole wedding party (yes it rained)
We surprised everyone with a dance. It started out slow
Then we broke out into a fast dance (all cheographed, waiting for the video still)
End of the night & tired 😛

hehe, well Darling Husband has 3 siblings, 2 of which are married. He says that their weddings were plain and simple so we wanted to make our wedding fun & memorable yet still elegant. He first thought of walking down the aisle to the Imperial March and then thought of the idea of getting helmets. He’s not a huge Star Wars fan or anything, just wanted to do something that our guests wouldn’t expect No one knew about it except for Darling Husband, the 3 Groomsmen & myself
I didn’t get to see that part so that’s another reason why I’m waiting for the video!

What’s on the other side of your tall centerpiece? I’m guessing it’s a table number, but do you have a pic of that side of it? I may steal some of your idea for my wedding!!

🙂 Thanks everyone!
@sonj818 – yeah those were the table markers. Darling Husband painted different landscapes & then on the escort cards I put the guests name & the city of the landscape so they’d have to find their table. So in this case it said “So & So – Sydney, Austrailia”. I made crossword puzzles about Darling Husband & I and At the end of the reception, we told the guests that whoever finished their puzzle first at their table got the painting & the 2nd person got the centerpiece 🙂
Feel free to take any of our ideas! 🙂 We did A LOT of DIY stuff to make it more personal. Plus it was quite cheaper!
