I’m a little late to join, but I was curious if people let the season dictate their wedding gown choices. I fell in love with mine, but I also think that it’s more of a cool weather dress than a summery one. I am also having a jacket made for the ceremony. Here is a picture:

Your dress is beautiful. I’m wearing Nora from Maggie Sottero, we’re having a fall wedding and I think my dress is ok for that time of the year. I’m also thinking of gettng a little jacket for the ceremony, haven’t decided yet.

I am worried that I will be cold since our wedding is in Montreal, but we will be indoor for most of it.
This is my dress:

Im wearing Cesar by Rosa Clara for an outdoor fall wedding in Louisiana (so its usually one of the only months where we have nice tolerable weather)

I did let the season dictate my dress choice a bit. I knew I didn’t want anything bright white. Sticking with an ivory or cream made more sense with our color scheme. I’m wearing Symphony by Maggie Sottero

- Wedding: October 2011 - Bed & Breakfast
I think the season played a role somewhat, but my dress choice was influenced more by the time of day and the venue that we chose. For example, there was one dress that I really liked, but it was better suited to a more casual daytime wedding and the bottom was so full that it would have occupied too much space in our small ceremony area. Here is my beauty <3

I really don’t ever get tired of showing off my dress. The season was never a thought when I was picking out my dress. I guess I just picked whatever I liked!
Clearly it needs some hemming, I’m a super shorty.
Ladies, you all are going to look so lovely on your big days! I’m so excited to see all our recaps!

@Petunia123: my brother and sister in law are from BR and had a fall wedding at one of the plantations. I think your dress is absolutely PERFECT for a Louisiana wedding!!!!

@callmemargie: THANKS! Where in Texas are you getting married? Our month is quickly approaching! Pretty cool we both have Texas and Louisiana connections.

Yes, I let the season pick my dress pretty much. I don’t like the color white and to me October and bright white dress look weird. I went with an antique-style vintge dress which made me feel more comfortable.

Here is my dress… I live in AZ so the weather should be 80ish during October. I picked the month because the weather is always so nice at that time 🙂
