Sounds like my list!  Although I booked my honeymoon.  You should probably check that one of your list next if you need to book flights.  I’m going to be stressing over my invitations soon because I’m diy-ing them.

I totally understand! This is when the actual work starts or as I call it ‘wedding business’

My list:

wedding night accomodations, book honeymoon, make pocket folds and assemble invites, DJ playlists, Ceremony programs, Meet with onsite venue coordinator, Meet with our photographer to go over shot lisits, hair/make-up trials, dress alterations, marriage license AND put together an actual day-of schedule.

I have a lot of DIY left to do!!!

  • I need to get my cake order (place I went to told me to come back in september)
  • invitations
  • programs
  • finalize ceremony music
  • do not play list (not a fan of kc and the sunshine band)
  • bridesmaids (finish up) and groomsmen gifts
  • homemade favors (greek cookies)
  • buy sparklers
  • decorative fun diy stuff!!

A lot of little stuff needs to be done. I am lagging behind with DIY…I am exhausted when I come home from work and become useless!!!


I can’t wait, it seems like FOREVER still!!! It’s going to come bite me in the A?# soon!!!



ANNND MARRIAGE LICENSE!!! I need to look into that more!!! When are we able to go get it and it be valid our wedding day?

2. Gifts for the bridal party

3. assemble invite package and send out

4. Schedule rehearsal dinner

5. Decide on a head piece since I am not wearing a veil

6. Dress Alterations

8. Schedule day of massage

9. BUy wedding bands

10. Organize ceremony

11. Buy guestbook

12. Music Playlist

OMG everytime I think about it I’m SO behind! I’ve pretty much not started on a single DIY project yet, first up is def invites & finishing our wedding website. Then the laundry list starts! Thanks for your lists, they are helping me to remeber what needs to be done 🙂

I feel like I got more done this past weekend then ever! (oh, and PS. for those of you that have Big Lots close to you, they are having a sale on all Martha Stewart wedding stuff for 2 bucks! 2 bucks for a guestbook? I’m totally there!)

Ok, here’s what I still need to do:
Everything having to do w/ the ceremony (decor, music etc)
Rehersal dinner
Print Invites, programs etc
Come up with a menu (we’re doing our own catering)
Decide what the guys are wearing (and gifts?)
Reserve rental equipment (doing this on Sat)
Pay off honeymoon
Bridesmaid accessories/gifts
Get all of my accessories
Reception music and decorations
Get supplies to make the cake
Parents gifts

Ugh. Deep soothing breaths. Right ladies?

I’m doing pretty well. Anytime I consider a DIY project, I try to find a purchaseable alternative; I truly don’t have the time, though it’s tempting. Especially for my cake topper; I can’t find one I like.

Still to do:

Find cake topper, order shoes, find undergarments and rubber boobies. (I’ve lost weight, and mine don’t fit). Pay balance to chapel, so I can get my flowers before the ceremony. Find musicians to record "Iron Man". (If you know any willing to help me on a small project, PLEASE contact me!) Make wedding-weekend playlist.

After wearing my dress for two hours last night while my formal ballgown was turned in to something a little more wearable, it;s obvious that I need to spend more time in the weight room. Imperative that I spend more time in the weight room.  

My invitations right this second are sitting on my porch, and not going home to see them is driving me nuts.

Wow gals, everyone got a good to do’s list. I thought I was doing well and got all the dresses and most of the DIY things (invitations, programs, menus and party favors) done. However, once I read what you guys put on the lists, I think I still miss out quite a lot of stuffs. 

– Rehersal Dinner

– Cake Topper

– Music Playlist

– Ceremony Music (working on it)

– A pair of nice and comfortable shoes (I haven’t been looking for it almost 5 months already)

– Parents Gifts

– Gifts for the Bridal Party

It originally seemed so far away & now it looks too close… I hope I don’t get too overwhelmed.

Fiance job to:

  1. make map inserts for invites
  2. playlist for all of reception
  3. make slide show
  4. decide on brunch time

  7. seating arrangements

This list seems unreasonable… but I’m sure I’m forgetting something.

O.M.G.   Today is exactly four months until my wedding day TOO. Ahhh.


Things I must do still:

Hire our videographer (he is teamed up with our photog) who has our date on hold … we keep forgetting but he is technically holding our date

Finalize Invitations (they should go out by August, right?)

Order Aisle Runner  (they said order by 8-12 wks. of wedding date)

Get Ring Bearer and Flower Girl attire

Figure out Ring Pillow situation … do I want a *ring bear* or ring pillow? 

Decide/Hire Ceremony & Cocktail Hour music

Order Favors … already picked them out – Godiva Celebration Cakes

Meet with Chef who’s doing our wedding meal at the hotel to go over the meal served

  • The only thing my dad requested is to handle the food … lol. He loves eating.

Still have to choose between 2 florists I’ve been meeting with 

  • Come to a decision on types of chairs, table linens, place settings
  • Decide what I want cocktail hour to be like
  • Choose flowers & centerpieces for cocktail hour and reception – bouquets

Still have to help mom pick out her dress

I need shoes, moh (sister) needs shoes 

Still must order my custom veil this week 

Buy fur wrap to go over my dress 

Hire mu artist (having my trial on Saturday)

Groom, Best man and Ring Bearer pocket squares

I still have to schedule ceremony too … oh gosh

Need to buy Grooms Wedding Ring

I don’t actually get my dress until September, so thats when I will do my fittings etc. I just had my first "Mock Invite" viewing with our invitation artist … she will do a 2nd mock invite and we’ll solidify our designs- she will do everything "paper" (escort cards, menus etc.) for our wedding.  

*I found a woman who will custom make a bear for me to be used as a "ring pillow" – she could use the fabric from my moms wedding dress and dads tux or it could be fur and become a keepsake – of course I’ll replace the bear with a gift for the little boy! Lol. 

I have done:

Hired Wedding Planner 

Booked reception venue – they provide catered dinner from their chef

Booked ceremony + priest 

Booked photographer

Ordered/ paid deposit on dress thats being custom made 

Ordered Maid/Matron of Honor (sister) custom dress 

Booked our main Band + 2nd foreign band

Ok. I don’t feel like I have that much done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Am I on track or what? LOL. 

We chose to not have SaveTheDates … so that’s not on the list.

I have quite a lot of things to do and I have to make sure my fiance finishes making our flower pomanders too.  I really need to decide on our ceremony music and ecspecially the processional music.  Our wedding isn’t until the 23rd of October so yesterday was officially four months away.
