I just sent mine a week or so ago. I was going to wait until March but I have a bunch of Out of Town guests… so glad I did too– found out a good friend has a wedding on my day too! I was shocked since I didn’t think Sunday was too common! Luckily it’s at 1 and mine’s at 3 so hopefully they can make both

What favors are you ladies doing? I had a hard time coming up with something creative. We were going to do carmel/chocolate covered apples but it was going to be too much work before the big day so we’re doing leaf shaped bottled maple syrup. I’m still open to ideas though and would love to hear what you’re all doing?!

We’re not planning favors… we may do a candy bar but as of now, no favors…

Bunny2010 – Glad I’m not the only one in need of a caterer!

Thanks for the tips ladies. I’m thinking April will work.

Habibah–My wedding theme is old Havana so I’m having a vintage inspired Candy bar for our guests. Lots of candies to make my older guests nostalgic.

I have most of the big things done. I still need to figure out DJ, florist, make-up, hair, and some rentals. I got all my BM’s their dress order info today and found out yesterday my dress is in!! It wasn’t supposed to be here until May! We have e-pics in March so I have been busy figuring out what we will wear. Then I will figure out and send out STD’s in April. October will be here so SOON!!

@KLP– I am, too! We can’t hire a caterer without a budget, haha. *Sigh* I gave Fiance a deadline til the end of the month to figure out how much we can spend and hopefully we can move forward after that. I’m getting nervous, though– my date is popular, and the longer we wait the more expensive things will get!

For favors, I am doing a candy buffet. Bah. I want candy in pretty jars.

KLP- Believe me I know, haha. Problem is, all of mine’s taken care of– it’s Fiance and his family that I need to know about (what his/ their budget is). Still working on that. One day at a time, one day at a time. 🙂

Good luck finding a caterer soon!

@KLP2010 – good luck with the house! We are under contract for a house also (closing March 30!) and it definitely put the wedding planning on pause for awhile! Now that we’ve gotten through all the inspections and negotiations we are back to concentrating on the wedding – at least until we close and move!

We have all of the big stuff done – venue booked, florist done, dress ordered, bm dresses ordered and already in, wedding bands, photographer, doing my own stationary (designed just not printed), dj, gifts for the girls, officiant..save the dates went out first week of Jan.

still to do:

-pick up gifts for the guys (we know what we want)

-tuxes

– gifts for flower girl/ring boy

– order cupcakes (the place we’re ordering from doesn’t need much time)

– ceremony musician

– figure out a venue for the rehearsal

– limo

– parents gifts and gifts for each other

My biggest issue is that my wedding is October 23rd and the last one of NINE this year that we have that start in June, 4 of which we are marching in..so I need to get everything done for my own and for everyone else’s, and somewhere in there try to figure out a girls night out for my own darn wedding.  The boys are booked and going to Vegas for their fun.

We’re not doing favours for the wedding.

Countdowns..eek.  I wasn’t stressed much until this week and I was like OMG.  Still a lot of tiny things to be done.

Hey guys! I can’t believe it’s only 8 months already. Where did the time go?

We have a lot of the big stuff done. We have a venue booked, food tasted and menu picked, my dress bought, shoes bought, veil done, BM dresses picked and materials bought so that we can sew them, photographer, I have started buying Bridesmaid or Best Man gifts, I have a salon picked out for hair and makeup. I also have almost all the glassware and utensils for the candy buffet.

We still need to look into rentals, DJ, officiant, finalize Save-The-Date Cards and invites, extra decor… probably a bunch of other stuff I can’t think of right now. lol

stephinPA – we are pretty much the same!

Let’s see, I have gotten all the big major stuff signed sealed and delivered….making payments as we speak and trying to find deals on the little details.

Whats done:

venue, dress, bm dress (1 has ordered, 1 has it, the others need to order), DJ, Photographer, Photo Booth, Save the Dates, Invitations, Envelopes, Stamps, Addresses are on labels for the STD NOT the inivtations, we have registered,

What needs to be done:

tux, his ring, candles for tables, leaves and tree trunks (sounds weird but it will look cute don’t worry), table linens, dance floor, pedals for the isle (im buying some online), escort cards, and i need to get accessories, bra and underwear for my dress, and need to make my veil.

I am sure I am forgetting things…..oh CUPCAKES!  Dang, I gotta find a bakery 🙂

Honeymoon is booked.  230 days til Fiji

Happy Planning Ladies!

If it makes any of you feel better, we’re planning on getting married October 16th, but AREN’T ENGAGED YET! 🙂

Although we’ve planned quite a bit between ourselves and close family, it’s still not “official”… In other words, no one else knows yet! It’s not easy.
