@actime   Wow free centerpieces how cool! I love reception dresses, and if we weren’t having an evening ceremony I would have done a reception dress for sure!

How are things going so far for you, how are you feeling?

Things are moving right along. I’m just excited!!

How is fiancé, family and friends?

Fiancé is great, as long as I catch him on a day off he is willing to go over anything and everything. I had to put the squeeze on Maid/Matron of Honor to get out the evite for activities for bachelorette weekend (she didn’t want help) and gave her a deadline to get it out. She came through and girls know what time we are heading to the airport now!  The hardest thing for me in the beginning is that my friends/family want to take things on, but they are bad to actually planning what they volunteer to do, which stresses me out.

Scale between 1-10 (1 for behind and 10 for done) how far do you feel in the planning process and why?

I feel like I’m a 9. Most of the stuff has been done for months, at this point just waiting for a day of plan from coordinator and trying to schedule a second make up trial. πŸ™

What did you accomplish last month?

We went to the winery and picked wines for the wedding.

I hade a make up trial (hoping to redo soon-wasn’t a huge fan)

Had the hair trial (in love).

Ordered Paris muspass passes for honeymoon.

What are you trying to accomplish this month?

Schedule a second make up trial!

Second dress fitting.

Attend shower and bachelorette party.

Hunt down any RSVP stragglers.

Can’t believe we’re getting married next month!

How are things going with you so far, how are you feeling?

Things are going okay but I have zero motivation to get things done!

How is Fiance, family and friends?

They’re great! Everyone is calm and supportive.

Scale between 1-10 (1 for behind and 10 for done) how far do you feel in the planning process and why?

Probably around a 7. We have all the big stuff done (and have for a while) but all of the little details that I want done aren’t getting done.

What did you accomplish last month?

Menu tasting

Bought groomsmen gifts

Bought part of the bridesmaid gifts

Ordered flip flops

Purchased flip flop basket

Started programs

Finalized ceremony

Sent out invitations

Ordered cake cutting set

*I’m sure a million other things but I can’t remember*

What are you trying to accomplish this month?

Finish buying gifts

Finish programs

Welcome packets

Welcome bags

Pay off most vendors

Table Assignments

Escort cards

2nd dress fitting

Make the rest of my signs (Thank you, gift sign, wedding wish sign etc)

Order earrings for me

Pick up necklace after it’s set at the jewelry store

Finish cutting table runners

Finish table numbers (if we need extra)

Build cornhole set

Build ring toss

Purchase ladder golf

Basically, I want to get anything I can done this month so I have two weeks in October to get ahead in my grad school classes so I don’t have to work during the honeymoon!

Any one else totally stressing?

How are things going with you so far, how are you feeling?

Things are going okay, I guess.  I go from super stressed to zen, depending on my day and who I talk to.

How is Fiance, family and friends?

Fiance is good, he thinks I’m stressing too much (quote: “As long as people see us get married it won’t matter about the little details, you’re being too much of a perfectionist.”) He has no idea.  Family and friends are far away, so I’m doing most stuff on my own, but I get lots of support via email and phone!

Scale between 1-10 (1 for behind and 10 for done) how far do you feel in the planning process and why?

I’m going to give myself a 6, which is I guess about average.  I am doing everything myself (no wedding planner for me!), but I don’t have to work or anything so I can give 100% to my wedding.

What did you accomplish last month?

*Went to venue for a good look around (reception and ceremony both at the same church).

*Got the ‘meal’ portion of my reception out of the way (family friend is going to cook for us, and 100+ guests.  So awesome as a gift!)

*Met with the officiant, sorta worked out most of our ceremony.

*Got a DOC.

*Ordered the cake.

*Bought all the bridesmaid dresses.

*Picked out all the tuxes, and got Fiance fitted.

*Bought the groomsmen gifts.

*Got my thumbprint tree.

*bought all the supplies for my favors (not together yet).

*finished the invitations (not sent yet).

*Finalized centerpiece.

*Joined a gym with a tanning bed (I’m from FL.  Brides are tan in FL.)

*Booked and paid for everying for the honeymoon (flight, hotels, car…)

(There might be more…)

What are you trying to accomplish this month?

*Hair trial.

*Makeup trail.

*first fitting for the dress (it fits, just want to add the bustle.)

*Buy cake cutting knife and topper.

*Order my photo guest book.

*Buy all the ink for my thumbprint tree.

*Buy the BM/MOH gift.

*Buy the parent’s gifts.

*Buy my shoes (before fitting)

*Start on the programs.

*BUY SOME BURLAP.

*Make all of my signage.

*Find an antique table for my guest table.

*SEND OUT INVITATIONS. (This week…)

*Work on Day of Timeline (call photographer).

*buy all of my linens.

I have 8 weeks from today.  I can do this!

@actime:  Wow, winning centerpieces is awesome!  Congrats! πŸ™‚

How are things going with you so far, how are you feeling? I’m feeling good.  Not stressing out but just being tired from all the planning.  Totally ready to get married!

How is Fiance, family and friends? FI feels the same way except he’s tired of ME planning lol Family and friends are all excited.  My coworkers basically ask me on a daily basis what the countdown is to now.  Everyone is excited for our wedding!

Scale between 1-10 (1 for behind and 10 for done) how far do you feel in the planning process and why? I’d say 9.5?  I’m basically done.  Just have a few minor things left but everything huge is done. Yay!

What did you accomplish last month?

Met with all our major vendors and paid all final balances early.  The wedding is all paid for!! Woo hoo!!

Finalized the rehearsal lunch food

Basically finalized what all the bouquets and centerpieces, etc will look like.

Had our three basic dance lessons.  Signed up for the wedding package dance lessons.

My dress has been altered and it is AMAZING!!  I can’t wait to wear it!

Got my flats for the reception to change into.  Sure as hell am not wearing my 5.25 inch heels the whole night.

Got our amazing Lenox Opal Innocence toasting flutes and cake serving set for the reception.  We totally love them!  The flutes are so beautiful made and SO heavy!

Had my bridal shower – was great!

JUST had my first bachelorette weekend this weekend.  Had a total blast!

August was very productive but I can’t recall what else was done lol it’s all a blur!  But the most important thing is that the wedding is all paid for!

Oh ya, we got our marriage license!

What are you trying to accomplish this month?

We need to buy the candy for the candy buffet in late sept

We need to figure out our first dance song.  That is the only thing we haven’t decided yet and it’ll be decided once we start our wedding package dance lessons

Have our 6 dance lessons where our first dance will be choreographed completely.  FI ended up really wanting to do this because everyone knows he sucks at dancing and he thinks it’ll be awesome to see the reactions from everyone when they see us dancing a waltz and then jumping into a chacha πŸ™‚

Get the pictures of our four loved ones who will be displayed on our In Loving Memory table

Do my hair and makeup trial

I think that’s it?  Just need to finish packing up everything that we need to take to the venue with us for the catering manager to put out for the wedding.

How are things going with you so far, how are you feeling? All going fine, feeling nicely chilled

How is Fiance, family and friends? My Mum and Dad can’t believe how little they have had to do, and they are loving it lol, I got so much done early on to make it easier on everyone, Mum even offered to take some of my washing home yesterday so she felt like she was doing something ha ha

Scale between 1-10 (1 for behind and 10 for done) how far do you feel in the planning process and why? I would say that I am about a 9

What did you accomplish last month?

Had my Hair and Make up Trial, dress was altered the month before, had our Day in Detail Meeting with our venue, bought most of the sweets for the sweetie buffet along with the Jars. Made the Sugar Flowers for the cupcakse, finalised the Table Plan and have started making it. Sent out most of the evening Invites.

Bought Fi’s wedding ring, bought some little vases and flowers to match our colours and to put in the bar and toilets.

Made the Thank You Bracelets for my friends. Made most of the Thank You Cards for people in the wedding and familly.

What are you trying to accomplish this month?

Find a Bracelet to wear on the day

Find Bottoms to go with my Bra

Send out last few evening invites

Finish making our Table Plan

Fi to get his suit and the groomsmens shirts

Have my Hen Night

Get the last of the sweets for the sweetie buffet

Thank you Gift for FI’s Dad

Headband for the Flower Girl and Hair Piece for my Maid of Honour

and I think, or at least I hope, that’s it πŸ˜€

  • Bachelorette Party
  • Finalize my accessories
  • Book DJ (last minute decision for the closing hours of our event – since we have a band)
  • Crank out shower thank you notes

How are things going with you so far, how are you feeling? Things are going okay.  I still have a few little projects to do.  Okay, some of those are kinda big important ones too.  Ick.  I’m feeling the pressure a bit but at the same time I’m starting to be like if it doesn’t get done then…oh well.

How is Fiance, family and friends? My dad has been bringing up his divorce which is annoying but I think that since I’m getting married soon it’s making him reflect on things?  I dunno, it upsets me though.  Friends are doing well — everyone is ready for the wedding.  We keep getting asked where we’re registered which is nice.  FI is okay — he’s still kinda in the chill zone.  =P  I think he plans to stay there which is kinda good because I’m so not chill lately LOL.  One of us needs to remain calm.

Scale between 1-10 (1 for behind and 10 for done) how far do you feel in the planning process and why? I guess an 8.  We’ve booked everyone with the exception of the violinist.

What did you accomplish last month?

Ordered wedding bands

Ordered wedding cake

Got marriage license (WOOO!!!)

Finished buying bridesmaid gifts

I’m sure there’s a few more things

What are you trying to accomplish this month?

DJ music list/paperwork needs to be sent back in

Violinist (this is making me nuts.  If I get reminded one more time….)/ceremony music

Groomsmen gifts

Rehearsal (on the 30th)/Rehearsal dinner

Finish up all the projects.  Yes, I’m too lazy to list them right now

Try not to have an axiety attack (okay so too late.  currently having one over friggen napkins.  wtf is wrong with me?)

Get the remaining two groomsmen fitted and be done with tuxes

I can’t finish writing this list right now.  Time to walk away, lol >.<;

How are things going with you so far, how are you feeling? Things are going okay. I had a little bit of a meltdown last night (okay, a big meltdown last night), including hyperventilating and ugly crying, about how much everything is going to cost. My fiance is paying for the majority of the wedding, and I feel so bad about how much it’s going to cost, and it’s really not that much compared to what some people pay. Only about $4500 is what Fiance will have to pay. But he works so hard for his money, and has been saving like crazy, and that’s what I had my meltdown about. πŸ™

How is Fiance, family and friends? Fiance is the same. Last night he told me, ‘as long as we get married, and I see you in your dress, everything will be ok’. Anddddd that’s why I love him :). Well found out this weekend, that NONE of the family of his mom’s side is coming, including HIS MOM. She lives in AR and we live in SC, and she doesn’t have the money to come. Her family has no excuse, because they live less than an hour away. Oh well, it is what it is, and we will have people there who love us and care for us to come.

Scale between 1-10 (1 for behind and 10 for done) how far do you feel in the planning process and why? I guess an 8. We’ve had everything booked for months now. The only major thing is to contact the rental place about kids tables and chairs. Oh and tablecloths, chair covers etc. That’s really it, besides paying vendors.

What did you accomplish last month?

I had my final fitting, and brought my dress home! Here is a picture of my dress (back in April)

http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/brought-my-dress-home-yesterday

I had my hair trial. Pretty happy with it. Next time there will be a little less poof, and I will tell her about all the flyaways.

http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/hair-trial-25

Ordered a copy of my birth certificate (for passport)

Finished some DIY items: ‘send off bubbles’, candy bar sign, candy bar boxes, Mr & Mrs Picture Frames for sweetheart table, I Spy for the older kids at reception, activity books for kids.

Ordered my niece’s flower girl dress.

http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/ordered-my-nieces-flowr-girl-dress-today-from-etsy

I feel like there was some other things I completed last month, just can’t think of them right now.

What are you trying to accomplish this month?

Need to order our rings ASAP!

Get our marriage license.

Makeup trial (shooting for this Friday)

Bridal Session (hopefully next week)

Contact Rental place about kids tables and chairs

Contact weddingbee renter about tablecloths etc.

Finalize Music (pretty much finished)

Have Fiance practice fingerprint guestbook tree

Have Fiance finish fingerprint tree

Order ink for tree

Need to get plates & cups for reception

Need to still get gifts for Bridesmaid or Best Man, Groomsmen, Flower Girl, Ring Bearer

Supposed to have shower this month

There are probably more thing, but I am feeling overwhelmed just by typing this out.
