Oh this is fun!

Wedding Date: October 7, 2012

Engagement Length: Less than 11 months

Colors: pink, ivory (my dress is ivory and so are the flower girl dresses), charcoal gray (girls are wearing gray), black (guys will be in black)

Theme: Mason jars?  I dunno.  I’m going for country/vintage-ish.  It’s turned into more country than anything which is fine by me.  πŸ˜‰

Wedding Party (#s): 1 Maid/Matron of Honor, 3 bm, 3 flower girls, 1 Bridesmaid or Best Man, 3 gm

Ceremony (location and time): Ceremony will take place at a pergola overlooking a river at 11am [rain plan: ceremony will take place in the ballroom where the reception will be held at 11am]

Cocktail Hour: Once ceremony is over guests will cross the street (which will be blocked off) and head to an outdoor terrace for light snacks and drinks

Reception (location and time): Ballroom at the same place as the ceremony — will start when pictures are done essentially, lol.

Dress Style: Fit and flare.  I’m paranoid by Fiance will search for my dress info, lmao.  So that’s all ya get!  LOL

Hair/Makeup (Pro/DYI): I will be DIYing my hair w/the help from my Maid/Matron of Honor and a bridesmaid.  Makeup I will DIY myself.

Honeymoon Location: Still undecided.  Hoping to get that figured out this weekend possibly.  We’re thinking Hawaii or Curacao but my Fiance recently threw Ireland into the mix.  Obviously there will be a big temperature change between the first two options and Ireland.  I’m up for any of the above, lol!

Flowers:  A mix of cream and different shades of pink dahlias and garden roses.  Babies breath and dusty miller more than likely will be in the bouquet as well.

First Dance Song: Undecided still.

Centerpieces:  Our venue has glass hurricane candle holders and mirrored tiles that we’re allowed to use for free.  So we’ll be using at least the hurricane candle holders and adding some pink gem stone rock thingies I bought at Michaels to incorporate pink…and then sticking a candle on top of that.  We will also be scattering pink flower petals on the tables.

Food/Menu: Brunch style buffet.  We will have a made-to-order waffle station w/fresh berries, whip cream, syrup, etc.  We will also have a carving station (probably turkey) as well as two soups (undecided), oh shoot.  I really don’t remember everything off the top of my head LOL!  And we have to still go do a tasting to be sure of what we want.  So, I’ll hollar back at ya later, lol!

Signature Drinks, Open Bar or Dry: As of this moment in time we will be having a 2 hour open bar w/beer and wine.  We’re not going to have liquour as our wedding will be relatively early in the day.  Beer and wine suit our budget and our reception time in my opinion.  I’m perfectly fine with cutting out alcohol.  Due to family drama I’m still a little nervous about having it, lol.

Cake Flavor: TBD, we’re going to our first cake tasting on Saturday.

Guest Favor: TBD, but more than likely it will be bookmarks because my Fiance and I both love to read.  It’s very fitting for us.

DJ/Band/IPod: DJ for the reception & more than likely a violinist for the ceremony.

Bachelorette (when/what):  No idea but it will more than likely be on Friday night if we do anything.  Thus far we’ve talked about doing something low-key and laid back like dinner and a movie kinda dressed up.  =)  I’m not a party girl — one drink and I’m feeling good lol.

Dress Style: Enzoani Blue Champagne in ivory. Mermaid, lace, with some bling. Still deciding on a veil.

Signature Drinks, Open Bar or Dry: A selection of red and white wines from the vineyard and beer (microbrews in bottles and the regular stuff on tap). We are also going to bring mixers, but we are not providing the liquor.

Cake Flavor: Three layers. The top will be vegan for my Fiance, the middle will be a heavy chocolate, and the bottom, and refreshing lemon.

Guest Favor: Possibly pint glasses, but we may not do favors.

DJ/Band/IPod: We hired a DJ, but will probably provide him ALL of the music. We do not want any cheesy wedding stuff.

Bachelorette (when/what):  Was planning a girls weekend of hiking and rafting in Moab, but I recently got accepted to school and will be busy pretty much all summer preparing for it. Then I start school full-time in August, so no bachelorette weekend for me.  πŸ™
