I feel like i’ve got the major things out of the way.

Have booked and paid deposits for:

Venue and menu

I’ve got my dress. BMs dresses are chosen we’re just waiting til a little closer to order as one of my Bridesmaid or Best Man is trying to get pregnant.

All this has been done in the last month – before that i was starting to freak that i was so unorganised but i’m feeling on top of things now!

We’ve been engaged since July 2011, but didn’t actually jump on the real planning train until Jan. 2013.

COMPLETED:

WHAT I’M supposed to be DOING NOW:

  • Going to the gym <—- hahahaha
  • Finding and booking a florist for my bouquet.
  • Finding and booking a hair/makeup artist.
  • Searching for and ordering invitations
  • Finding and booking a cake baker.
  • Thinking about ceremony readings and stuff.
  • Working on music

THINGS FOR LATER:

  • Finalizing our menu
  • Deciding on what we are going to do for a ‘guest book’ and ‘card box’ and making that a reality.
  • Shoving off as many cute DIY projects from Pinterest, which I do not have the creativity or patience for, onto my mother as I can.
  • Purchasing whatever decorations I can’t talk my mom into doing.
  • Boudior photos
  • Purchasing gifts for parents and writing my letters to them.
  • Getting contacts so I don’t have to wear glasses.
  • Find and purchase wedding shoes boots
  • Buy FI’s attire.
  • Purchase wedding bands.

THINGS WE ARE SKIPPING:

  • Since we decided against having a wedding party like @sablemuse!!! , we have avoided any to-do’s relating to having BMs and Groomsmen.
  • Any ceremony decor.
  • Registering for gifts.
  • Will be respectfully declining if we happen to receive any offers of a bridal shower.
  • Wedding website
  • Fancy transportation — it’s just not needed.
