Instead of listing what you have done, list what you still have left to do. It keeps things in perspective and will help me not freak out that I have so much to do! Lol. Please help!
I don’t have anything done but securing the venue and narrowing down my options to two videographers and a photographer. My next project is the save-the-dates which I plan on sending out late February/sometime in March…

We have not met with the cater about specific, though they are booked. We have not met with a florist yet. We havent me with a baker either. We have not made a definite decision about bridesmaid dresses or tuxes. We pretty much have done everything else.

I still have to:
speak with Florist
book theming company
get bridesmaid dresses
make sure Fiance gets a suit and organises his groomsmen
organise make up & hair
ummmm so basically ALOT lol

- Wedding: October 2013 - Rustic mill, historical site
I’ve done nothing about the cake yet… and that’s pretty much it, I think. All the big things are taken care of.
Wait, that’s not true, we are going shopping for the bridesmaid dresses in a few weeks, and once we settle on a brand and colour, the boys can take a swatch and figure their suits out.
I have to go for food tasting too, we’ve chosen the meals but haven’t actually tasted them yet, so…
Post # 6
have not ordered invitations, picked out cake, picked music, made final choices on reception decor, finalized a photographer, ordered dress yet but got it picked out, decided on hairstyle or makeup, shoes, accessories, or settled on menu choices.

I’m Sept. 28, 2013 so that’s close enough to October 🙂
I still need to:
Book the security (our wedding is downtown and we don’t want people off the street coming in!)
Put deposit down on all the china/glassware
Buy the tablecloths/napkins (much cheaper you guys!!)
Finish paying for Venue/Caterer/DJ
Book photographer’s flights(she’s from Texas)
Send out STD (first week in Feb!)
Finish gathering addresses/narrowing down our guest list
Choosing music for the ceremony/entrance/first dance
Make all my bouquets/centerpeices
Buy wedding rings
Buy groomsmen gifts
Buy parents/grandparents gifts
Find an officiant!
OH MY LORD I just had a heart attack looking at all I have left!
-I need to order my invitations (See my other posts, I actually posted them on here today for proofing help!)
-Cake tasting/order cake
-Book hair/makeup person and do trial
-Put down deposit and order silk flowers
-Buy wedding bands
-Engagement pictures (set for March) followed by
-Finalize hotel block reservations
-Find and reserve rehearsal dinner space
– Figured out jewelry accessories
-Finalized catering menu (but I don’t have to do that until 2 weeks before)
I made this list as long as I could to help you feel better. 🙂 Unfortunately, if I had the money saved up already, I could make some calls and be ready to do this in 2 weeks. I am WAY ahead of schedule, and now that other people are catching up to me in terms of timeframes, I’m SO glad I gave myself ample time!

@alotlikelove: I have so much to do that I’m really freaked out about it. Mostly because the MOST IMPORTANT thing hasn’t been done yet…my officiant isn’t booked. I am so stressed out about it. I’m in the process of converting to Judaism and there have been some delays in the process that have been beyond my control. The Rabbi who is doing the conversion might end up moving out of state so I may have to rush around come June to get a Rabbi. Oy! Other than that I have to:
-Order a ketubah
-My Dad, Father-In-Law & Brother-In-Law have to get their tuxedos
-Flower Girl Dresses & Ring Bearer Tux needs to be picked out
-Invitations have to be put together and addressed.
-Hair & Makeup artists need to be booked
-I need to to figure out favors
-Escort cards need to be done up
-Table seating needs to be sorted out (I’m DREADING this)
-Honeymoon has to get booked!
-Fiance’s wedding band has to be made (ring designer is taking FOREVER)
-guest bags for hotel have to be made
Oh my, just listing all of these things is giving me anxiety. I need to get cracking! Yikes. I just sent out the Save-The-Date Cards and felt like I had a lot done but all of the little details are what take the most time.

@MrsFutureG: You’re so sweet 🙂 I do feel a bit better! Thanks 🙂
@ArtDecoLisa: I haven’t sent out Save-The-Date Cards yet! I still have to make them! Thanks for contributing!
@BeeG35: You guys seem to be way ahead! I’m jealous!
@MrsKitty: end of September is definitely like October already! I agree 🙂 Thanks for sharing your list!

I’ll make everyone feel better by saying we haven’t even booked our venue yet. The two places I have my eye are aren’t popular venues, though, so I think we’ll be okay as long as we book by March.
everything, I have photographer and venue booked and that is it.
- Picking invites
- Ordering BMs dresses (style/color is picked)
- Meeting with cake decorator
- Groom/groomsmen attire
Im pretty much done besides that. Sending out Save-The-Date Cards at the end of this month.
We still have to:
book our DJ & possibly also live ceremony music
send bridesmaids color swatches (doing mismatched dresses)
make sure Fiance gets a suit and organizes his groomsmen
do save-the-dates and invitations
find someone to marry us
create a wedding website
order cupcakes and bride & groom cake
so yeah, a lot! But I figure we still have a good amount of time, right? I hope so, lol. 😉
